Wonderful stay. I had an apartment all to myself. A nicely appointed bedroom with air conditioning, a sitting room, a kitchen with fridge and a second room with a bunk bed set. The building houses 4/6 like apartments overlooking a very inviting little pool and a rooftop area equiped with hammocks and unrivaled views of Flores Island. From the angle you have a better view than from the fancy hotels near the Maya Mall directly in front of the causeway. Although easy to walk get around, due to the high heat and humidity I found it more convenient to use a tuk-tuk which generally cost 5Q to 10 Q at night. Really nice little place. Am a light sleeper, yet did not experience any issues with noise, despite the proximity of a school and some roosters in the adjacent property. I was not surprised to see it listed at a higher price after my booking. It is a right, tight little place with enough room for 5 or more vehicles so really does have it all. So is perfect with those with their own wheels. The staff was welcoming perhaps a bit too anxious but nevertheless friendly and easy to communicate with. The complimentary hibiscus icy was the cherry on the top. I did take any meals there, so cannot vouch for the food. However, the juice I ordered was delicious and refreshing. I really can't find anything negative to say about this little place. If I had known about it before (booked a hotel on Flores Island) I would have definitely booked Casa Hunahpu!
