The staff was incredible. Rooms are adequate, clean and have a/c. Pool is nice with great view. Breakfast is excellent, tried everything and all is good. Chairs on balcony but not in room. View from balcony is awesome. Noisy outside at night till midnight as bars are close by. Good shower, plenty of hot water. Beds are nice and firm. Very safe area. Sunning area is small but most people are gone during the day plus hot enough that we spent most of time in pool. We are food and beverage, good bed and good shower people. This hotel suited all our needs. We stayed 9 days.

We had a room with a view of the lake. Great to watch the sun set. Staff was attentive and informative. Nice pool to cool off at the end of the day. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Generally speaking most of the staff was courteous however, most staff did not know their own policies. They had little to no information outside of their establishment and absolutely ridiculous with simple accommodations such as towels. They literally refused to provide extra towels citing it was their policy. This is absolutely a hostel and not a hotel and should never be advertised as a hotel. I personally witnessed the finer desk clerk swindle two foreign guests overpriced transportation to the airport when it’s a set fee from airport to any hotel nearby. Beyond furious and their total arrogance. Their business model seems to be based on the customer serving them and not the other way around. Would never recommend this “HOSTEL” to anyone.

Located on the shore of lake peten, the hotel has a phenomenal view of the sunset as you lounge in the pool serviced by a swim-up bar. Staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Older facility so expect a few minor frayed edges. Beautiful little town to explore- cozy and safe

What a wonderful location to base on the island. The only issue yes is the spa/hot tub was cold. But hey - many other things to do on the lake.

Good hotel with a view and pool.
Great little hotel/Hostel right on the lake and within walking distance to anything on the island. It's a small island. My only complaint was I had ants in my room and down near the pool, I'll assume this is normal for most properties on the island.

Just a nice typical hotel. The only problem was my room smelled like sewage. I had the window open and the fan on during the day. But at night the smell built up. A shame really. The hotel is very nice overall.

A short stay at Peten hotel.
Hotel was very nice and clean, they need to improve service, we were misinform on the parking and we got harassed by a cop also one of our rooms was clogged and they never show up to fix it, on the breakfast menu they need more options I know it is free but they can expand the menu and charge for it, the idea is to give more options to the customers my kids were hungry 30 minutes later and I had to stop to buy more food since they did not offer anything else on the hotel. Also I want to mention I asked to exchange money and I was given one price and then they charge me more since I need it so I accept it but not cool at all.

Great location on the island with a beautiful view! I loved that they were pretty much right on the water. The hotel staff member was absolutely wonderful! My Spanish isn’t very good but he was patient with me and we communicated great!

Had a great stay at Hotel Peten. It’s in a great location, the staff are super nice and helpful. There are many restaurants nearby, and it feels safe. The facilities are good, let’s face it, we are in a remote town of Guatemala, it could be way worse. I would stay here again without question.

The property was under construction, the room was disgusting, the shower didn't drain. There are far better options in Flores.

Was a very comfortable and welcoming hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Right off the lake and so from my room there was a fantastic view of the sunset over the lake! Only 2 if us staying but had a 3 bed room so we had much space except the bathroom was not so roomy - wouldn’t have been easy if 6 people were sharing it. The breakfast included was a choice of 4 set dishes, the ones I had were tasty but not so good if you’re a fussy eater. Overall would go back again!

This was a very bad experience. We got in around midnight and were extremely tired from the long travel from Guatemala City. Just to find out that there are mice in the property. I am terrified of mice...and these are huge ones. They were in the lobby, the hallways, and we could hear them running on the false ceiling. They did move us that night to the top floor so we didn't hear them running on the ceiling. I couldn't sleep that night. We cancelled the rest of our stay and moved to a different hotel. I don't recommend this property until management does something about the infestation.

Colonial Setting on Lake Peten near Tikal
About a 1 to 1.5 hour drive to the ancient Mayan City of Tikal. Knowledgeable and helpful guides along with confrotable transportation to access Tikal and other Mayan ruins in immediate area. Scenic area on Lake Peten and opportunity to also have boat tours and attend local markets for a broader experience.

Palenque perfect
Glad I chose this hotel. It's well situated on a lovely street with plenty of restaurant options and only 500m from a supermarket where you will find an ATM. There is a tour operator in the street and Palenque has plenty of truly wonderful things to do! If I returned I'd stay here again. The only flaw is the food in the restaurant. Simply walk down the street for something better . Nice staff.

The Hotel and Staff were great. We felt welcome from the first. Got a great room with a nice view of the Lake and the town. Very Clean and welcoming. We had a really nice time and enjoy our stay. The Restaurant was really nice and very welcoming. Food was great, and prices very reasonable, great room service and overall service.

The street is very noisy but the room has double windows so you hardly hear it so don't worry. It has a small and clean pool that's great on the hot and humid weather of flores

The hotel was ok for a couple of nights. The air conditioner was running ok but it was loud. Three kind of dishes for breakfast I will recommend the typical breakfast. The people at the front desk was very helpful for directions and tour arrangements. Take in mind that if you go out at night late you should use the entrance in front of the lake and ring the bell that is close to the door.
