Fun hotel to stay in

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Loved the slogan which is even printed right on the key card: "No need to break in." Has restaurant and bar which I used. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Too bad it didn't have a gift shop. I find these useful. Thought the breakfasts were a little pricey, but good.
Location: Location was great around the block from the Kennedy Center, and not all that far from M Street in Georgetown.
Enjoyed the hotel. It's European and more innovative and quirky than your standard US hotel.

Nice hotel, great location

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Amenities and quality
Location: Sight seeing
For the most part it was great. Pool was closed due to renovations also there was some noise in the adjacent room due to the same renovations but they stopped at Friday 5pm and we did not hear them all weekend so I am assuming they didn't work.

This hotel is the best one in DC. It's extremely clean and the staff is great. The only downside is the overnight parking price is insanely high ($52). Everything else is great!

"The" Place to Stay in DC

Posted Aug 18, 2017
My daughters and I are planned a quick 48 hour trip to Washington DC primarily to take in a few museums, snap photos at the key monuments and visit two colleges: Howard anf Georgetown Universities. With a plethora of hotels to chose from, the Watergate was the place we wanted to stay for the host Rory, mystique and unforgettable scandal that occurred 40+ years ago. The hotel lived up to my expectations. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, we were given VIP treatment. Our hotel room was ready even though we arrived four hours prior to check in time. The room and bathroom amentinities were provided to ensure our comfort and leisure (nice touches were added such as a plush velour oversized blanket and two pairs of bathroom slippers), and Garnett, bell man who greeted us at the main entrance, and Max who checked us in at the front desk were the best! Kudos and thanks to both of them for delivering exceptional service to me and my girls during our stay! We will be sure to return in the near future!

Dear Bayareatraveleron, We love to celebrate family at The Watergate and we are thrilled that you and your daughters could settle in for a quick escape. Your kind comments regarding Garnett, Max and the rest of our colleagues are definitely appreciated and those words have been shared and celebrated with our team. With the monuments and attractions just a short walk away, we trust that you captured many Instagram moments to share with friends and loved ones at home, perhaps even an image or two framing the perfect views from the ample windows of your guest room upstairs. Once more, it was a pleasure to spoil all of you and we hope that ours is a hotel you can return to time and again for years to come. Best Regards, The Watergate Hotel

Dated but Otherwise Excellent

Posted Aug 17, 2017
Pros: The views and staff.
Cons: Rooms were a little dated.
Location: Very close to Georgetown, the Kennedy Center, and the riverfront.
The Watergate is right next to the Potomac River and steps away from Georgetown. Our room had some breathtaking views of the river and were clean but a little dated (my boyfriend commented that it felt like a cruise ship). The staff was excellent and when we called down with a request (ie another robe), they were upstairs in a minute! Great price and I highly recommend to anyone.
