Loved it!!!!!! It was homey and made me feel comfortable. I've never had this kind of experience before. I loved having breakfast with all the other guest and the lady who owned the Inn. Can't wait till next time.

Simply Delightful StayPosted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: Décor, quiet, secure, hidden treasure
Cons: Floors on the 2nd floor are authenticate from the firehouse so they do creak but that's just part of the charm I guess
Location: Right in the middle of the mountains but quiet small town with a few really good restaurants. 1 hour to Ashville, Lake Lure, Charlotte...
This B&B is delightful in every way imaginable. From the décor to the staff to the deliciously prepared breakfast. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and will be back

Only got to stay one night - wish it had been morePosted Jun 18, 2015
My husband and I stayed one night at the Firehouse Inn. Our room was spotless and gorgeous. Beautifully decorated, room to spread out, large bathroom with an extra dressing area with a large mirror and stool for makeup or hair. Only complaints - wish the parking wasn't on the street. We didn't have any issues, but don't like street parking. Also one of the chairs in our room in front of the fireplace seemed to be broken. It tilted to one side when my husband sat in it. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit, but wasn't fancy like you get in some B&B's. The other guests were pleasant and we had some nice conversation at breakfast. All in all, we would stay here again.

Great location, right in the charming downtownPosted Jun 16, 2015
Historic building with many original features & fixtures but with every modern convenience. Lovely suite with entertaining space, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee bar. Access to incredible outdoor terrace with garden, water feature, several tables and chairs; very private. Kitty, the owner, and Sandy, the manager went out of their way to recommend local spots to eat, live music that were walking distance. I didn't want to leave and look forward to staying here again!

Tolles altes Hotel in super Zustand!Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Der Charme des alten Gebäudes
Cons: Keine zentrale Klimaanlagen Steuerung
Schöne alte Feuerwache mit vielen Einrichtungsgegeständen aus der Anfangszeit des Gebäudes. Sehr nette Betreiberin. Wir würden immer wieder hin fahren.

Good for play not for business.Posted Jun 1, 2015 on Hotels
I had two problems with my stay at the Firehouse inn. One the air vent blows directly on your face and you do not have control of the a/c to turn it on or off. I was freezing all night, I ended up pulling the bed away from the wall to get the air not to blow on my face. I wore a hoodie to sleep so I could cover my head. Two, Breakfast was at 8:30am... I was there on business and had no time to wait until 8:30am for breakfast. They need to serve breakfast earlier for business folks.

Firehouse Transformation/Fabulous StaffPosted Oct 21, 2014
Afraid our arrival would be after 7PM, we called ahead to advise them. No problem...Left the keys in the mail box. Never a problem finding the firehouse. Got into our ground floor suite (unit#6) with no problems. Could not fully realize the amount of room we had. Being a retired firefighter, I enjoyed the entire suite, including the master water pressure gauge on the wall, the "Police Dept." logo on one of our bedroom doors. The furnishings were wonderful/functional. I have spinal problems, but the king-size bed was great and I slept almost all night!!!! Sunday morning my wife left our suite to seek out the vital liquid of life: coffee!! She asked a staff member if it would be possible to prepare breakfast plates from the 2nd. floor dining room and take them down to our suite. The staff person said it was not only possible, but she would prepare our plates and bring them to our room...............Imagine that.......We didn't even have to ask for the service. No doubt about it.we WILL return to the Firehouse Inn, more than once I'm sure

What a fabulous surprise!Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: It was such a charming place, and exceeded our expectations in every way….
Cons: I would suggest that info about parking be included in the "welcome" letter.
Location: Close to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.
We loved staying at The Firehouse Inn. Their rooms/suites are beautiful, beds comfy, food delicious, and hospitality unsurpassed. When we return to Rutherford County, we will plan to stay at the Inn (I hope that they have room for us!)
