It's a Nice Place!!

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Pros: LOCATION...it's right on the beach!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was good
Location: It's a nice walk or a quick bike ride to restaurants, stores, bars, and night life.
I really enjoyed my stay here!! It was perfect for what I was looking for, right on the beach, bars and food right here at the hotel, friendly / accommodating staff, and good prices!! I arrived late on Easter Sunday (11:00PM) but checking is was a breeze. I was able to upgrade my room to an oceanfront balcony (1410) for only forty bucks more I night which was killer for me! I got to my room, dropped my bags and headed down to the "Wreak Room Bar n Grill" which was like walking back in time, it was great. They serve food and drinks till 1AM. Chris the bartender was fantastic, she helped me out and was really just great. The crew that works the beach was awesome and very helpful, they have beach service for food and drinks or you can just walk up to the infinity pool bar and get what you need. Your just down the boardwalk from a huge selection of restaurants, bars, and shops so don't feel like your not around anything. I rented one of those public bikes ( in Chicago we call them Divy Bike they had a different name for them) and just rode it down to where these places were, dropped of the bike at another stand and boom! It really is a nice place to go and stay. All in all for me, it was the perfect place to stay. I really enjoyed myself and how friendly the staff was. I will go back!

Lots of potential but an absolute miss

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: Room decor was nice
Cons: Service, amenities, maintenance
Hotel has been renovated but feels like it was only completed about 75% of the way. The carpet in all the hallways to the rooms are stained and disgusting. Out of the 7 front desk staff I interacted with, only 1 was welcoming. Room keys disabled once during my stay, from the visits I made to the front desk over the course of the stay this seemed to be a common problem with other guests as well. Coffee table in the room was broken/wobbly. Hotel is understaffed from a service perspective during the day. Getting food/drink service on the beach and at the pool area was painfully slow. The hotel touts complimentary bikes as a selling feature; however, bikes can't be reserved and there are only 7 bikes for the entire hotel. The bikes are very poorly maintained.

I don't like the resort fee even I don't use the pool or beach

Hello, Our resort fee is standard in South Florida hotels and for $20/daily you receive 2 beach chairs/towels, gym access, in room bottled water/coffee, use of iPads and bicycles, unlimited Wi-Fi, etc. We know fo another hotel that charges $35 and we feel our fee is great value for price paid.

One of few on the beach

Posted Apr 16, 2017
The hotel is great for pool and beach. It is very much a typical old school Florida hotel. Reminded me of my family vacations as a child. The pictures are much nicer than it actually is. But it is a Great spot for vacation. The rooms are teeny tiny. The fixtures are hans grohe, the toiletries Aveda, the towels not so great but they give you plenty and are not stingy about that. There are free beach chairs and they set you up nicely. There is waiter service on the beach (LOVE). You have to pay for an umbrella $20 (not so nice). They have beach day beds that are lovely and are cheaper during the week. They had a festival end the day before we arrived and unfortunately we had to live with the sounds of the cleanup and breakdown of the whole beach set. Which really stunk because I love to sleep with the balcony open at night and enjoy the sound of the ocean and that was impossible with the generators running full volume on the beach. The front desk compensated us a little for the inconvenience but it still was a big disappointment... There are 3 buildings and apparently the one directly on the beach is the lower category and has no balconies. We stayed in the "main" building and apparently the marina one is the nicest. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location but only if the price is right.

Hello laluna, Thank you for sharing your very fair and well detailed feedback. We are one of only 4 hotels on the sand and each building offers something different (view, size, layout, etc). You clearly notice details (Aveda, Hans grohe) and we appreciate that. The public beach does host festivals and events and we have little control over that and agree it is not pleasant to hear the set up/tear down taking place while you're on vacation. Let us know when you return and we'll B sure to find a quiet room for your comfort. The Clipper rooms are smaller and are the only ones with balcony, whereas the marina tower is taller and has stunning views of the water.

Lovely, modern Hotel, close to the beach.

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: The location, the staff and the modern look.
Cons: Beds could be kingsize, rather small for tall people.
Location: Great beach, great for families. Lot close by and within walking distance.
Hotel great, lovely location and staff very helpful. Ideal place but could be doing with a newsagents onsite or close by. Hotel food for room service was great and room was modern. Great for children but i think the 20$ a night and resort fee is too expensive.

Greetings Haj, Thank you for sharing great points about the hotel and recognizing the staff and location. We do offer king size guest rooms (many with pull out sleeper sofas) and have iPads to enjoy for reading that are a part of your daily resort fee. Visit soon and thank you for sharing.

great staff great location

Posted Apr 12, 2017
We (4 ladies) stayed for one night for Tortuga Music Festival, location was great! our room balcony overlooked the backstage area of the festival which was nice for fans to see but if you weren't there for the festival it wouldn't have been a desirable view. the room itself was cozy, there were four is us staying in the room luckily only for 1 night before moving to another hotel nearby, otherwise it would've gotten too cramped. Room was clean and updated. Best part about the hotel was the staff, they were very attentive. We got in a little later due to a plane delay so we sat the lobby bar and we were served by Serena and Nadine, they are great employees! We thought we would just sit and have 1 drink before we ventured out but we ended up staying until close! They made us feel welcome and took care of us, and even though we moved over to another hotel for the next 3 nights, we always ended up back with Serena and Nadine (even though the other hotel we stayed at also had a nice lobby bar). Good staff is hard to find, we wish these girls the best and hope to see you again soon! :)

Very nice

Pros: View, pool, friendly staff
Hotel was very nice and staff were accommodating. There was a clerical error with my Expedia reservation, but the hotel staff was attentive and agreeable in offering proposal to clear up any inconvenience.
