This property is anything but as advertised. It is being used as a place of housing for under privileged individual. The room was dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, and the entire room smelled of Marijuana. I would NOT recommend this facility at all! Upon check in we had to fill in paperwork agreeing to a whole bunch of silly things. They took a $100 security deposit for incidentals which is a joke because their is nothing to charge to your room except perhaps a cleaning lady and an exterminator.

The roaches and the stovetop one eye the knob was broken couldn't tell when it was on or off without turning the knob on the wall off. The toilet was backed up and the sink drained slowly.

Came from Nassau, Bahamas for the weekend. Entering the room for the first time was not the experience I was expecting feel from when I looked at the images prior to booking. The bed didn’t feel like a true queen size bed, all size roaches were lingering around the room, there was no iron for wrinkled clothes, and the curtains to the window had holes. If I had known this was what I was going to be paying for, should have just spent more money on better a quality hotel.

This looked more like a living facility. Lots of men smoking and kids running around. Roach was in the bathroom and the shower had no plate covered the drain therefore it was just a hole in the middle of the shower.

Overall I really liked this place. The staff are soo lovely and really helpful. The room was really clean, and everything was presently made. It is in a good location of shops, food places and 15min drive from the beach and many amenities (I recommend looking on “Get Your Guide” for good ideas). This place, as well as Miami is very diverse with lots of young people, so if you want to have a quiet night then it’s not ideally for you. Lots of reviews say how the people are rude etc, but I found everybody respectful and very welcoming. I didn’t even know how to cross the roads here, and they did not mind my stupid questions. The only thing I wish that made my stay better was some utilities in the kitchen, as someone travelling from another country I really don’t want to bring my kettle or a saucepan - but food was really close by so I was able to learn and try new foods which was really fun and interesting. I would definitely come and stay again, I really did enjoy it here. And from other reviews, I had NO cockroach problem what so ever; despite it being in Florida.

Property is nothing like the pictures. It is in an unsafe area with people living in the hotel as their residence. Lady in tight dress hanging around the hotel fighting with her man on the phone around 11PM. Cesspool of water on the corner of the parking lot. Door to hotel room has lots of play and you can literally see outside when door is locked. For some reason must drive your car in the parking spot or you will be towed. no backing in! Leaving the hotel early homeless people were sleeping in the stairwell… obviously no security at night! Should have just a tree sued at the airport overnight

It must have been mostly converted to rentals long term. Not real clean, mattress not too good. Towels were good. I was shocked to find out they didn't have an ice machine. The neighborhood might be dangerous as there was a security guard in the parking lot when i came home at 10:oo pm. Now the good was it was 100. a night in Fl high season in Ft Lauderdale. It is fine if you are not concerned about all details. It did have a full size refigerator and a cook top and microwave.

This is an absolute awful property. The staff was so rude the girl that was supposed to check us in at 3 o’clock for work so we couldn’t even check in. They have you sign a thing about no drugs but that’s all you smell around the whole Properties people smoking drugs. It’s very loud at night, but nothing is as bad as the staff they are the most rudest people I’ve ever ever met in my life will never ever go back here.

HOTELS.COM, Protect tourists. DELETE Townhome Studios by Red Roof Inn, Ft. Lauderdale as an option for hotel stays! This place caters to low-income long-term residents, which is fine. But mixing with tourists does NOT work. It makes for a potentially dangerous & very horrible experience. Employee Sunisa was unwelcoming & very rude. Employee Felicia was nice. No cord connecting phone to the wall, so you couldn't even use the phone to call the office. Key cards gave problems each time tried to open the door. It would take up to a few minutes to finally open the door. No matter how much we tried to keep the place clean, we had to deal with roaches coming from many room cracks that were there & not maintained by the hotel. Room didn't appear smokey at first, but smoke was coming through the door frames from adjoining rooms even though the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking. Plus, the mattress & pillows stunk of cigarette smoke. Awoken around 6am one morning by someone banging on door & looking for somebody. Luckily, the person walked away when he realized he had the wrong room. Lots of loitering in the parking lot and outside of rooms by people who live there long-term. They also talked very loud outside our room throughout each day. Horrible from start but couldn't leave due to nonrefundable policy. Read reviews too late. But, the reviews confirm things that happened during our stay. Unfortunately the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Not for tourists.

Room was not clean well. My wife had to clean it. We even ask the office not to get in our room for the time we were there. 8 days. Cooktop was not working and it is very old. One of the front desk ĺady very rude. Cleaning lady also very rude and talk back to customers with an attitude. I had to remind her that we as customer pay her salary she tried to close the door in my face, I had to put my foot to block the door from hitting me. Will not recommend this place

The property was ok but people were smoking alot which made it not comfortable. Smoking continued all hours and the property is non smoking. This needs to be addressed as it made my stay very unpleasant and i had to stay out extremely late to avoid the smoking. I also had to leave sometimes early morning as due to smoking by other guests. Absolutely do not stay here
After arriving at the hotel. I was greeted by three people out front of the lobby smoking cigarettes. They told me I could go inside and wait. I asked them if they work there, they said yes. Then they finish their cigarettes and checked me in. Gave me a room key for a room that was occupied. I then got a new room after waiting 20 minutes for them to figure it out and also have the police called for multiple guests complaints. Other guests were in the lobby at 11:00 at night yelling and screaming This looks like a property that people live at and it is quite disgusting. The room had absolutely no creature comforts, the toilet didn't work. Stains everywhere outlets for charging did not work. Absolutely atrocious I have stayed in all manner of hotel and consider myself not very squeamish. I almost left and drove before hours home but decided to rough it out. Was not able to get any sleep due to constant activity and noise. Including guests and police I truly felt so unsafe that I stacked the chairs up inside the room to wedge the door handle. I will absolutely never stay here again and I hope this review is red by anyone potentially thinking of staying here. Do not!

Cockroaches on the bed. Smelt of bleach. Cigarette burns on the sheets. Only plus was that it was close to the port so was quick to get to cruise ships. Ultimately you get what you pay for as was very cheap!
