Nice Set Up

Pros: The waitress in the Riva restaurant was very pleasant and attentive. The yoga teacher was super nice. My room was cleaned at before 3pm every day.
Cons: The beach chair attendants were somewhat rude.
Location: Took me only 20 minutes to get to Fort Lauderdale airport by taxi/shuttle ($25).
This hotel is close to the beach and airport. The room I had was very clean. It had tile floors and a balcony overlooking the ocean. The $25/day resort fee included two free bottles of water and beach chairs/umbrella. The fitness center and exercise classes were great. Between 5-7 pm in the evening there is happy hour with reduced drink prices. There is a fabulous on site spa. Room service was speedy and delivered delicious food. I never left the hotel the entire weekend and had a wonderful time.

Great FAMILY resort- NOT a place for couples/adult

The resort is beautiful! The lobby has a restaurant Ant drunk prices are steep. Good luck at the pool...seats fill up fast, and the pool is kid soup. The hot tubs are also invaded by kids. If you are on a couples vacation this is not a good choice.

Great hotel directly on the beach

Pros: Loction is on the beach
Cons: The Sealevel restaurant could have more healthy choices on their menu.
Location: This hotel is in Harbor beach, if you are going for the beach and pool this is perfect. However, it is not near anything,
Marriott Harbor Beach is directly on the beach, and because you pay a resort fee of $30.00 a day you do get 2 beach chairs and umbrellas included in your stay. Very nice hotel for families, great pool right off the beach.

Great beach hotel - without beach amenities

Pros: Great location, yummy breakfast.
Cons: Get beach umbrellas that are compatible with a slight breeze.
Location: Great location, short drive to Las Olas, and the attractions of Ft Lauderdale.
After having stayed at numerous Marriott hotels, I would expect that this one would live up to their standards, however it did not. Specifically, in regards to the pool and beach. On all days of our trip, every single chair at the pool was taken at nearly all times. On the beach, there were no beach umbrellas due to it being "too windy". Every other hotel on the beach had umbrellas designed for windy days, but it seems that the Marriott was too cheap to invest in better umbrellas. As such, the beach umbrella that was included in the $30 per day "resort fee" was never offered. Could be a great property if they get their act together regarding the beach and pool amenities.

We had a great experience here. The staff was extremely polite and very attentive. The food was excellent. We will be coming back.

Very nice hotel set right on beautiful private beach. Hotel very clean and pretty but needs more food options and some kind of nightlife . There was no entertainment or nightclub for dancing. Would have been nice to have some entertainment on the beach or outside area in the evening .

One of the drawbacks to me, was the restaurants. Pretty expensive .... I also felt the bed was too hard...but I would go back based on the other features!

Cockroaches and black mold

There are cockroaches inside this five star resort. When we brought it to the front desk managers attention her response was- oh they fly in here all the time, it's no big deal. When we handed her he dead cockroach, she said "ew go take that outside"... because it's OUR job to do it for them. We paid $450 for 1 night stay and apparently that meant we were their insect terminators as well. They just completed an entire renovation for all the rooms. But the whole ceiling in the shower was covered in black mold. Had to move rooms at 2am.
