When we arrived at the property and went to the desk to see if it was possible to check in, knowing that we were early, I was told “no, I’m doing checkouts first”. Which was very understandable. She wasn’t very friendly delivering this message, but it was busy.
When the crowd dissipated, I returned to the desk to ask again. Again, in an unfriendly tone, I was told “oh check in isn’t until 1:30-2”.
My husband and I went to the sitting area in the lobby and a short while later (before noon) I saw another couple arrive and get checked in. This time my husband went up to inquire about an early check in or a spot to at least leave our bags so we could walk around. She told him she would check us in. She then proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t on the check in list This was news to me. I booked the room through Expedia and I’ve never heard of having to add myself to a check in list upon arrival and it wasn’t mentioned the first two times I went to the desk. The hotel was clean and looked new or newly renovated. However, due to this service we will not be back and I won’t recommend to anyone travelling in this area.
