They do not tell you that there is a construction barrier between you ant the front railing, that cuts the terrace in half. You can NOT sit and watch the ocean or people. When you sit in the lounge chair all you see is the construction barrier, and a heavy net on the front rail. You really can not see through both of them. Both have been there for some time and looks like it’s not going away anytime soon. The main reason for picking this place I like to sit and relax watching the ocean and the boardwalk.
Parking is really tight, your front bumper needs to be almost touching anything that’s in front of your car. First spot was an active set of stairs. They wanted me to move the car closer to the stairs, which I did not want to do. They gave me a different spot that had which some kind of a container at it. You have to be almost touching the container with the front of your bumper to make them happy. One day I brought some things back to the room, and was going right back out. Before I was done they were at the room wanting me to move the car up. At least it was free parking, never heard of having to pay to park at a hotel, until I started looking for rooms in this area. Parking could be from $10 to $40 A night, and some are strictly valet parking only.
My reason for the 1 star is the terrace was falsely advertised, and should be stated in their web site they are having work done. Of course in the 12 nights I was there, never seen any work being done.
