Very good hotel. Very friendly staff, especially at the beach/pool area and valet parking. The view from room 504 is wonderful. It was great to wake up these days with this stunning view.

No Parking... I had to pay $60 for parking, $150 withheld Additional deposit. As guest staying in a hotel we should not have to pay for parking.

Hello Nadia:Thank your for taking the time to create the review.We have always warned our customers that parking at the Pelican and Ft. Lauderdale Beach is very limited. Parking can be quite expensive and that is why we warn against bringing a vehicle.The deposit of 150 is standard in the hotel industry. The hotel does not charge you unless you you charge to the room for food, beverages and parking. All monies are refunded upon checking out, as long as you have no charges.I hope this clarifies the situation a bit more.

Pelican Grand Beach owner occupied excellent view
The Staff was accommodating. Valet was excellent! The room was not totally cleaned when we arrived, there was sand on the floor as we arrived. I requested cleaning service and was told I had to pay $35.00 to clean. Which I did have it cleaned. I felt I was going to fall. The air is not as we would have liked it, a bit hot. Gorgeous view from the entire room.

I was not happy that the owners room had no shampoo, no soap, no blanket on the bed, the cable tv service was suspended in the room so we had no TV and when you call down to this extremly expensive hotel they tell you that its not there problem and to call the owner in which i didnt have his number. please let me know how i get in touch with this owner

This room is absolutely beautiful. The pictures don’t do the room justice. The bed faces the ocean so every morning you have 3 beautiful large windows to watch the sunrise, as well as a little balcony. The bathroom is very big. I was there with my girlfriends for a girls weekend and we loved the room. The food at the resort was delicious. The only thing that was a little frustrating was check in. The pelican grande didn’t see my reservation the day that we checked in and when I told them I booked through Expedia and show them my itinerary number they kind of got snotty like oh you booked through a third party. The gentleman went in the back to talk to whomever and then told me to have a seat and they would be with us shortly. My friends and I waited for probably 20 mins no one told us what was going on. So I went back up to ask what was going on and had to fill out paperwork and finally they allowed us to start the check in process. We waited in the lobby for 2 hours because we arrived early since check in was at 4. But all of our belongings were just sitting by the front door so I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving them there unsupervised. The lady also told us that we weren’t guaranteed our room would be ready by 4 because checking starts at 4 and once you are checked in, it goes to housekeeping and then they clean your room and once that’s complete you can go to your room. But Pelican Grande gave us breakfast vouchers for one morning for the long wait and mishaps.

This property was amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The pool area was the best I've seen and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The beach access was also very easy and clean.

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice hotel and we stayed in the most beautiful room. Reasonably priced on a weekend where other resorts loaded their prices due to NHL beach thing! I would stay again.

Great place to stay!
Our room was large and the view was amazing. The room was nicely updated. The pool staff was amazing as well as all the staff. The parking was expensive but the car was ready very quickly when we requested it.

Owner room 504 - I read the up & down reviews AFTER I booked, and got worried. But - our experience was perfect! Spacious, clean room. All hotel amenities included. If it were MY owner room, I’d add a chest of drawers, as there weren’t any. Had to live out of our suitcases - but that’s a MINOR concern. Honestly can’t find anything else to complain about!! Hand soap, shower gel, lotion, etc., were all provided. Four large fluffy bath towels! Mini-fridge, microwave, small Keurig. But who needs the Keurig when you can get a delicious $3 cup of coffee at the Emporium downstairs? (Plus cappuccinos and lattes if you desire!) And ICE CREAM!!!! Special shoutouts to Adam and Juan and Jason! Perfect stay!

We apologize for the problem with the television. I am not sure where you got the story that our cable tv was not paid. TV service is provided through the hotel and not directly with any one provider. The hotel assured us they were taking care of the problem. Nonetheless, we do apologize for the inconvenience.

This room is a disaster. Air conditioning barley works. Lock is broke to balcony which is dangerous for kids. Sink doesn’t drain. Bathroom door lock broke. Tile in oversized bathroom I understand for wheelchair but my son fell and it’s just dangerous for kids. Couldn’t wait to check out. Pelican grand is nice just not this room

The property itself was great! The room left a little to be desired. Ceiling fan inoperable, bedside table lamps not working, bathroom sink water handle leaking. Very old musty smelling room. Coffee maker in the bathroom, really? Plastic lawn chairs and table on balcony looked like they were picked up from someone’s trash. I guess you get what you pay for. Room was under 200 bucks, I’m guessing because it’s an owner occupied unit that’s open for outside guests when owner not using it. Normal cost for this period in the hotel was around 500 bucks a night.
