Weird charges and loud construction

We came on a Saturday and we're kindly given a room before the official check in time. However, no one offered to guide us to our room which resulted in much confusion across the two-part building until we happened to guess correctly.
There is beach access from the hotel which is nice, but with it comes a $30+ a day resort fee, which I suppose covers borrowing a towel and walking across to the public beach...
That felt pretty outlandish to us. It would make more sense if this also included breakfast, but that was a separate cost (unsurprisingly). If we had wanted beach chairs that too would have been a separate cost.
There was construction being done to the front, which I know it necessary at times, but it really took away from the relaxation of the beach and pool.
A very strange part of the room was the thin, slatted bathroom door that took away any attempt at privacy. My partner could hear and almost see everything I was doing which made for awkward moments.
The biggest issue we had was the large party (and by large I mean at least 100 people) who had booked part of the hotel for the entire duration of our trip. Their kids were screaming and running rampant through the halls and lobbies and the staff acted as though this was not happening. There was clear frustration from other people staying there as well.
Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our stay, and this is coming from someone who tries to make the most of any vacation.

We do have a $30 resort fee at the property which includes complimentary internet, bottles of water in your room, $10 off every $100 spent at our Heavenly Spa, towel usage for the both the beach and pool, access to our Westin Workout studio, and complimentary bicycle rentals via our concierge. Our team should have done a better job explaining these things upon your arrival. We did also have a large group with us as you mentioned. We apologize that there was a disruption in your vacation as we want all our guests to enjoy the resort equally. We do hope you will give us another opportunity in the future if your travels bring you back this way. Thank you again for your feedback.
