Arrived almost 2am after delayed flight and told they couldn’t give me a room bc I was a “no show” and they were fully booked and that I would be fully refunded. Had to sit in the lobby until dawn when friends could pick me up. No such policy is posted anywhere. I was told I could walk next door at that hour and SEE if there was a room available and that I could sit in the lobby for a while but not too long. As dawn came (bc I had no intention of wandering a strange city as a single woman at that hour) I saw an incredible cast of characters (guests) and realized this is not the property anyone would want to stay at. There were drunks and shady long term residents who didn’t even know what name their own room was booked under, trying to check themselves out but couldn’t provide the correct booking name. The place was dirty. The on the go breakfast consisted of granola bars and packaged mini muffins and oatmeal (not that I partook). When the manager and day staff showed up, they were bewildered about the inability to check me in as they were ready and able to do so right then but it was incredulously too late. They were not fazed by the fact that this meant I had been SITTING THERE for over 6 hours, not knowing if I would be kicked out into the street with nowhere to go. Later when my friend arrived, the manager apologized, offered me à handshake and regrets but oddly noted that he had blocked all rooms before leaving the night prior, which was why the night kid thought no room
