Room was mostly clean when arriving, sheets had cigarette burns, the cabinet door for the fridge was busted and free hanging. Roaches in the elevator and main floor, though none in the room that we could find. Staff made us feel like a huge inconvenience to them. Room service only came two out of 6 days. Location definitely feels sketchy though the Culver's and Starbucks next door were a very nice amenity. Would not recommend this location.

You get what you pay for!!!
The hotel is rundown if it was not freezing outside I would have taken my chances sleeping in my vehicle. The room was made up, there was hair in the restroom, in the sheets, the floors had stains and other things embedded. They had the slider open because of all the smoking in a nonsmoking room. It was very disheartening to see this as they are directly across from Carowinds and with that type of business you would think the owners would take more pride in making the accommodations more attractive, affordability is one thing but not at the expense of cleanliness, the feeling of safety, and lack of staff. The front desk was manned by one very hardworking woman and she was multi-tasking like nobodies business to get things done. Corporate owned or franchised the hotel group should be ashamed to let places like this get condition.

From the roaches, the doors not shutting properly, and the random people knocking on your door in the middle of the night. This place is really not the best. It’s a non smoking hotel out people still smoke effortlessly in the hallways and the elevators. Literally as soon as i arrived at the hotel, some random stopped me outside blowing smoke in my face asking me for money and tried following me to my room.

The outside of the hotel should have told enough about the inside but the lobby was decent so i was hopeful about getting the rooms. The first room was not very clean and the second room smelled like straight up cat pee so i immediately went back down and asked for a refund. I havent got it yet but hopefully in a few days.

When I first arrived, I wasn't greeted. The lady at the front desk was talking to an employee and kept the conversation going for a few minutes . After a couple of minutes passed, I butted in to say I had a reservation. She asked for my ID and went back to talk to her co-worker. Once she was done talking, she went and proceeded to check me in. She handed me the key and said thank you have a good night. We made our way to our room and found out the room smelled so awful that I threw up in the toilet from it. We immediately went to the front decks and told them this and she changed our room. Now we got a new room. We get upstairs to the new room and find out the keys don't work. So I processed back downstairs and once again told the front desk representative that I had and issue. She fixed the keys and said that it might be the keys she gave me. So once again I headed back to the room and got there with the new keys. The door still wouldn’t work. So We went back downstairs again and got placed in another room. Got into this room and it had the same smell. It wasn't as bad once we opened the balcony door but wasn't as bad as the first room. The bed was clean and comfortable I can't get too upset but did have to go through a lot to just get comfortable. The overall rating of my trip is 4.8.

I’m glad I was only staying one night, bed hard and lumpy, air conditioner water leaking on floor, broken lamp, mold in bathroom and on sliding glass door, people smoking weed at the entrance, room smelt musty, and hair drier was broken.

It smells ok on Lobby, but when we go to floor for room, smells smoking, mold. And there are many strange people walk around people, hang out on car, feel unsafe so we had to leave 1 hour after check in. The room was smells bad, mold, we felt itch when we laid on bed. The room is out of date, curtain has many little hole. And stranger people were walking around hotel, sat on cars, noise and we felt unsafe when they looked at us the whole time we walked in.

The hotel smelled of a combination of cigarette smoke and pot. The mold on the ceiling of the shower was beyond unacceptable. When we went to checkout the next moring the cleaning staff were standing in the lobby barefooted. I would NEVER recommend this hotel! It should not be part of the choice family.

The entire hotel smells of smoke , even our “non smoking” room which had BURN MARKS on the toilet seat. The lamp in the room is busted. It feels wet and muggy in the inside.
