Needs some TLC

Carpets could use vacuuming and/or replacing, especially the elevator. Lots of crumbs and dirt on the floor. The room was vacuumed, but there was ground in something on the one side of the bed. Bed skirt was stained, but the bedding was fine. The bathroom was ok, but it looked like the bottom of the shower could have used some kind of bleach cleaner, it just looked dingy like someone with really dirty feet just took a shower. Employees were excellent, I was just disappointed with the condition of the hotel.

Good Location but tired facilities

Staff were friendly enough. Room was tired and worn out. There was a massive stain on the carpet and the sheets felt like they had been washed and used over a thousand times. The shower had minimal water pressure and no hot water. I’ve stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses. Some are excellent and some not so much. This was definitely one of the worst.

Grungy, grimy and in need of a remodel

Cons: Felt dirty and grungy.
The hotel feels grimy. The carpets were grungy and it even smelled a bit when you first walked in. The hallways and rooms were not better, you could tell they had seen better days. The carpet was slick with ground-in dirt and the room was not much better. I have stayed at several Holiday Inn Expresses and this one did not hold up to the brand's reputation.

Pros: Conveniently located, clean, and quality of room.
Cons: Sausage gravy on breakfast bar was tasteless.
Location: Great location - just a few miles from Mystery Train and Edison/ford Museum.
We were in town for the Mystery Dinner Train, and did not want to drive back to Tampa. We usually stay at the Mariott Courtyard, as they have a package with the Mystery Train that is a bargain but they had no vacancy for our date. This Holiday Inn Xpress was a fine substitute. The only thing not excellent was the sausage gravy on the breakfast bar. Runny and tasteless. But the cinnamon rolls made up for it! Good deal!

Pros: Location and the quality.
Location: Really didn't spend much time sight seeing, the purpose of the trip was for a family wedding.
Enjoyed the hotel, hotel is in a safe location for families. The swimming pool is just the right size for family swimming.

No call No hot water!!

No hot water, two people took down my name to partial refund but never called nor refunded anything. It sucks to have to take cold showers esp in a king suite.
