Nice villa between The Bubble Room and the resort

Pros: Rooms, parking, pool, almost private location during our stay.
Cons: More and closer parking near Sunset Beach. More easy beach access for those not on the gulf side.
Location: Sanibel! Shopping, variety of stores, restaurants, and seafood.
Comfortable rooms with easy parking. Almost private pool, most people seem to go to the larger pool in the resort area. It was a bit far from the resort but suited us. It is very near Doc Ford's a nice restaurant with at least fair prices (many of the local restaurants are very pricey).

A most excellent resort, whatever you like!

Pros: What is not to like? I had the cheapest tennis villa, and it was expansive and beyong my expectation for size and comfort. Amenities were all nearby.
Cons: Hmmm, guess it would be to make the island bigger, so the road is not so tight, ha ha.
Location: Captiva is pretty special and you will find that out when you get here. Nature and the beaches are aplenty. The activities and beauty is endless.
From checkin to checkout, there were no problems. Staff were exceptionally friendly- from beach attendants to housekeeping to trolley drivers. This made it even more pleasurable and relaxing. A few minor bumps occurred, which is expected, unless you are a picky whining complainer who only relates their negative experiences.

Beautiful resort, 30 min drive from Sanibel

Pros: Private beach
Cons: Tennis villas felt old.
Location: This resort is at the very northern part of Captiva - plenty to do on site (beach,pool, tennis, boats, excursions) or drive to Sanibel.
The resort was large and beautiful. We didn't get to enjoy all the amenities as the beach was our main focus. We were there during a very slow time so it seemed extra quiet. We stayed in the tennis villas (per our deal via Expedia). The room itself was fine and we could have accommodated our 2 kids easily as there was a full working kitchen and living area along with a porch. However, we were right next to a court that was used a lot during our time, and since the resort was not full, it would have been nice to have been given a room in another spot or at least not directly facing a court. The beach has chairs, towels, and umbrellas available (at no additional fee) which was SO nice. The downside was that we didn't realize how long of a drive it would be into the main part of Sanibel (having never visited the area at all.) So each time we wanted to eat or do a non-beach activity, we drove about 30 minutes into Sanibel. This was a bummer and I guess we could have figured this out before booking, but just didn't realize. So, if you're more interested in eating on property, it is so ideal because you really don't have to leave.

Super Hotel, jederzeit wieder! Allerdings keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Nahrungsmittel ) vor Ort!

Good location but cleanliness lets it down

This is a huge resort 2.5 miles long, we booked a beach condo. The room we received was filthy dirty, we were going to leave but a manage offered us a beach bungalow. The beach bungalow was clean and in good condition. To be fair the manager did handle the situation well.

Not close to anything

Pros: It would have been much better if I had been oriented better at the desk upon signing in!
Cons: Answering questions and giving clear info at the front desk. For example, I did not know you could take a trolley to any beach or pool or get newspape
Location: Love area. When my husband was alive we went every year for 30+ years and for the last 3 years,,I have continued the tradition. I stay at Sundial.
The amenities sounded great. Newspaper everyday. Close to beach, pools, chaise .lounges, beach towels etc. I stayed in the tennis section. The check in person told me the pool was right there, the beach was a " short walk" . He did not mention you needed to go to check in to get the NYT. I learned the last day, I could have taken a trolley to the big pool where they had towels etc and drinks and to the beach. I had never stayed at South Seas so I thought I should mix it up. I definitely will return to Sundial in Sanibel. It it much easier to navigate.

Great place to relax with the family. Staff was great. 1 bedroom beach villa was clean and updated. Beautiful sunsets

Great stay. Huge resort that has all that you need. A true island feel yet the comforts of home and the mainland just minutes away. Sunsets are breath taking! Can't wait to go back!!!
