Cons: Fabric softener for linens. See above.
Only negative thing was that linens, especially blankets, we're so stiff, it was worse than sleeping on cardboard box. All staff encountered, check in staff, maids, groundskeepers were very friendly and helpful.

Best Vacation Ever!

Posted Apr 13, 2016
Pros: It was great and clean! We preferred a king room and got to the resort and had 2 queens and they moved us which was very appreciated!
Cons: Nothing, you have it down and have thought of everything!
Location: We didn't have to go offsite because everything we wanted/ needed was on site!
My husband and I went there for our 10 year anniversary and it was perfect! The beaches were beautiful with spectacular blue/ green water. We always had a terrific spot and chairs/ umbrellas were always readily available. The pool area and restaurants were also amazing. We had friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff our entire stay. The trolley was another bonus on site and very welcoming as well. We cannot wait to return next year with our 5 kids:)

Don't bother!

Posted Mar 30, 2016
Was not at all like the photos suggest. They were not VILLAS! Cleaning staff knocked at our door and milled around our room at 11:00 ( check out time) waiting for us to leave. Never have we been so pushed out of a hotel room.

great family get away

Posted Mar 26, 2016
Pros: Nice location for pool, boats and beach. Beach staff was great.
Cons: For the price you pay at the Marina "hotel", it'd be nice to have a room downstairs with fresh coffee in the morning, and if kids still asleep.
Location: Beach, paddle boarding, sunset cruises, pool with waterslide, beach bars, fishing, something for every age,
Our first time on Captiva -- you should plan to rent a golf cart if you have kids, fun way to get around. There are lots of activities available to you and it is a nice safe environment for the kids to wander around. The beach is lovely. It has a nice resort feel, not a big hotel feel. The rooms are OK, and do have nice balconies over the harbor.

Beautiful, relaxing resort

Posted Mar 25, 2016
Pros: Nice beach and pool complex. Very pretty resort, not too commercialized. Good amount of activities to choose from.
Cons: - Provide better signage for units - Please scrub grout in kitchen and clean oven in #909 - Finding lounge chair at pool difficult at times
2 moms and 2 teenage daughters. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Marine Villa - #909. The good: - Overall, a very nice resort. Gorgeous view from our villa. Got to watch the dolphins swim around in the marina every day. - Our unit was within walking distance of the beach, pool complex, some shops and restaurants, Captiva Cruises - There is a pretty convenient trolley that can take you up to the other end of the resort to see the shops and some other restaurants. - Pool complex is very nice with 3 pools, hot tub, 2 waterslides, pool bar, nice lounge chairs, a shop to pick up anything you might have forgotten to bring, drink / food service to your lounge chairs, towel service. - Beach has plenty of nice lounge chairs, umbrellas, drink / food service to your chairs, towel service, sand toys. The bad: - Arrived in the middle of the night due to flight delays. Check in staff wasn't friendly. Drove down to our villa. Not lit well at all. We had to keep getting out of our car to go up to look at unit numbers. Their signage could be much better. When we finally found our unit, it was on the top (second) floor. No elevator. Had to lug all of our luggage and groceries up to the second floor. Not fun at all at 2:00 in the morning after traveling all day. - Tried to use the oven, but it seemed that the smoke detectors were overly sensitive. A little bit of smoke from pre-heating the oven set off the smoke detectors. We turned off the oven and went with plan B for lunch.

It has a great view of the beach and sunsets

Posted Feb 28, 2016
It had a great view of the Beach and good sunsets. However you could hear your neighbors at times. Would have liked it to be a little more private feeling.

Close to beach and water activities

Posted Feb 22, 2016
Pros: Safety, beaches and activities
Cons: Some staff seemed put out by questions, since this was our first visit. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
Traveled with two 14 year old boys. Felt safe letting them travel around by bike and to explore the beaches and pools. Food was good at all the resorts restaurants we dined at.
