Pros: The location to ocean, warm pool, hotel staff, & breakfast.
Cons: Nothing I could think of @ the present.
Location: Plenty of ocean(actually Gulf)activities, very nice seafood restaurants;kind of a low-key vacation spot.
Very delightful, relaxing stay right on the water(with door open can hear the waves crashing);liked it so much will be back in March.

Affordable Sanibel Hotel on Beach.

Posted Jan 16, 2016
Pros: Pool, quiet beach.
Cons: Breakfast and bikes.
Location: Captiva was a short car ride away.
We stayed for a week in early January 2016.The hotel is simple and clean with Recent updates to room and bathrooms. Includes small kitchen and screened balcony. The best part of our stay was the incredible pool. Quite large and heated to a nice temperature. We used the bikes which were a bit used but servicable. Breakfast is provided, a small basket of cereal, milk breads, yogurt and orange juice. If you enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning bring your own!! Those hotel packets always weak!! We enjoyed our stay.

Staff friendly and helpful.

Posted Dec 20, 2015
Pros: Close to beach. Loungers and umbrellas were always set up and ready for your day.
Cons: Needs new carpet in room 203. Maybe a better air conditioning system.
Location: Everything we wanted to do was close by because it was a island.
The breakfast every morning was more than we could eat. Pool was refreshing and clean. Maids and front office people were great.

Pros: The hotel is very clean and nice. Really nice pool, good shelling
Location: Shelling, of course, also we went on a fishing charter(really fun)with captain Joey. The location is close to just about everything you want to do
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, the pool was really nice. Close to the beach, the grounds were clean and well landscaped. The breakfast was o.k. after microwaving the bagels. We usually stay at a different resort, this was our first time at Sunset Beach and it was very nice.We will be back. They have a little feral cat that lives on the grounds,I wish some one would feed it on a regular basis.Oh,and I found a piece of a Juniona! Good shelling!

Room

Posted Nov 17, 2015
Pros: The location. Free bike rentals and water sports. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Above
The location and staff were great. But, the rugs in the rooms need to be removed and tiled. Rugs get dirty, tiles can be washed daily. Drapes by the sliding doors were dirty from being pulled closed Also, a breakfast basket was given daily. Nice but should have healthy choices, not sugar cereals.

Hotel with nice beach

Posted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and complimentary beach items (kayak, paddle board, chairs and umbrellas)
Location: Located on a nice stretch of beach. Very close to J. N. Ding Darling nature area. Not too far from area restaurants and shops.
Clean, spacious room with screened balcony and partial ocean view. Our room was steps to a very nice beach. Chairs and umbrellas are part of the package. The pool was huge with lots of chairs and umbrellas and extremely well kept. Microwave, sink and refrigerator were a nice plus. We were very pleased with the hotel and amenities.

Härligt strandnära hotell

Posted Nov 8, 2015 on Hotels

Long overdue vacation

Posted Nov 5, 2015 on Hotels
Went to the shell museum,it was very informative. Visited the beaches even though we stayed on a beach. I love shelling and each beach had some different ones. We also went kayaking, the scenery was beautiful! The restaurants we ate at we're all great! The only thing annoying was the no seeums. As soon as the sun starts to going down they come out of the sand. Best to have the bug spray in hand to take pictures of the gorgeous sunset. Not anything else to say except relax and enjoy!
