Disorganized and unprepared for customers .

I’d called and had been ok’d to check in at 1:30 or 2:00 PM. I arrived at 3:00PM and was told they had rooms ready but I couldn’t have one because they’d been reserved to customers that hadn’t showed up yet. I told them I had a wedding to attend in an hour and needed to get dressed. Almost 25 minutes after the normal 3:00PM check in time, I was finally allowed to check in. The room was clean but some of the furniture was in bad condition.

We stayed at this property previously with our dog, breakfast included at the adjacent hotel. This time the clerk said no breakfast at all, and FIFTY U.S, DOLLARS for the dog. Outrageous. We cancelled our booking and checked in at the Days Inn across the parking lot. We told our friendly Days Inn clerk about our Candlewood experience, to which she responded that Days Inn provides free breakfast for Candlewood guests, which the Candlewood clerk was supposed to tell us. I can't imagine all Candlewoods operate like this, or they'd be out of business. But until the Ft Stockton management changes and they hire friendly and competent staff, stay away.

Adequate but not anywhere close to quality at Hampton, Hilton, or Holiday, that were only $10 more. Disappointed with the furniture that was worn out. The arm chair covering was ripped off in places, leaving the padding exposed, a very sketchy feel for the room.

I stayed for one night during a cross-country drive and I was very happy with the hotel. The service was great. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of parking.

Great Place to Stay

Our room was clean and very nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel was close to the interstate and restaurants.
