The pictures of the room and property must be super old. The property is in much need of updating!!!! My room was extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. However, the interior is very dated.In a pinch I might use this location again.

Great area and amenities for price. They have a tram (shuttle bus) that takes you around the resort. They have beach access, restaurants, shopping, golfing, and activities all within the resort limits. Bayside Cafe and Hammerhead Restaurant was really good!

The view of water was fantastic . The hotel website says remodeled but lots of issues. Paint coming off in room and in elevators. Outside pool lights not working — outside chair cushions were filthy. Burnt out light bulbs in room. Furniture all nicked up. Curtains falling. Light fixture in bathroom failing off. Lamp shade cracked. Exhaust fan in bathroom rattled and had not ceiling plate cover. WiFi would not work the entire stay. I will not return bc of all the issues. Have stayed here several times in the past with no issues.

Overall the stay was pretty good. The suite was very nice. The view of the bay was beautiful. I read a review about the walls being paper thin and that they were. You could hear every toilet flush and every shower. You could hear the water running through the pipes. Other than that, it was good. The area is nice. The Village area was pretty and convenient.

The worst Anniversary stay ever...
First I did not receive the room I had paid for Sandestin has rooms overlooking the Bayside back and the other the golf course.. Facing the front.. The corner rooms have extra features like a kitchen island and an extra outside covered patio for sitting.. Those are the ones I paid for.. Which were more than the cheaper room I got.. No patio no island but it did come with a view to the opposite side... The parking lot and the golf course.. Way out in the distance.. I called front office.. And the didn't want to help me.. Said they were all taken.. But i had paid for mine months in advance.. So i called Hotels.com and all they did was discount me 100$ on any night stay anywhere else.. But i paid 600+ dollars for two nights in a room that was priced cheaper two months ago.. And not the one I wanted.. So my wife's and my Anniversary was ruined as soon as we arrived.Great job guys for not fighting with me and making me happy.. I guess we're just another fish in the sea to you guys.. Thanks

Not What We Expected!
We decided to go to Destin for my daughter's birthday. We knew the hotel wasn't the best but best deal on the web. We got there and opened the door to a king room. For 4 people, that just didn't work. We had to go back and get another room. Of course, they only had 1 king and a pull out sofa available. Oh, but it was a single bed so my daughter had to sleep with us. She is the same size as her mom and sister. Needless to say, it was too cozy. On line it said 2 full beds. You don't always get what you bargain for. One good thing is we only booked 1 night. Not sure how a full vacation would have gone!

Believe hotels.com miss represented the location of the hotel, as it was marked to be near the ocean but it was actually near the bay. Hotel was not in great condition, and there was arguing in the parking lot that appeared to go on all night without security coming along.

Room was not what we booked, we booked a room with a water view and got a parking lot. The signage to check in was confusing and poorly lit, the shower squealed when you turn it on. Overall disappointing experience. Room was clean. Property was beautiful, wish the other things wouldn’t have lessened the experience.
