It was good, only problem we had was our toilet stopped up and when my daughter called, whoever answered said ‘is it because you have kids and did they put something in there’ besides that was not too bad for the price and location

Loud noise during our stay at the Best Western Sugar Sands Inn & Suites 4415 Commons Dr E, Destin, FL, 32541 during the dates of April 4th-7th. The hotel was clean however the experience wasn't what I would call a 10....The person or persons residing above our room was extremely noisy. Our room was 140 and we were placed on the bottom floor of the hotel. The very 1st night 4/7/2024 I called the front desk around 11:45pm to complain about the stomping and loud noises which carried on for over 5 hours keeping my family up and upset after a 4hour trip to Destin Florida. The front desk person, a young lady, stated the family upstairs had children and they were getting ready for bed and would be going to sleep soon. I felt that this was an unacceptable answer. I was also told the walls were paper thin and that I would hear my neighbors moving around in their rooms...This endless noise went on for 2 days of the trip and I also visited the front desk to get answers and turn in an iPhone found in the hotel room we checked into 140. I would like to be compensated for my lost rest as well as for my family. I have 2 children under age 13. I also did not have the room I asked for with the pullout bed for my son and I was told that they booked the suite for someone else based on the third party site Expedia. I wasn't given an apology or anything.

The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the beds. The frame was metal and the noise was insane. It was also the new wing of the hotel per the property. I could not sleep. It was pet friendly so I don’t know if that was the reason for the bed or even if it was all the rooms or just those. I have stayed in pet friendly hotels before and never experienced this. Those beds are awful and would be the only reason I wouldn’t stay again. I couldn’t suffer through that again.

It was a comfy and cozy room. Was bright and very clean. Only issue I had was the beds were just too soft for me to sleep comfortably. #306 close enough to the elevator. Amenities were clean and good. Breakfast buffet was sufficient. This hotel was close to beaches, restaurants and stores. Walking distance to Starbucks/Panera Bread.

Very comfortable hotel at a great location and very pleasant staff. No direct beach access but very close to lots of food locations and the coast. Comprehensive breakfast but with very ineffective plastic knives and the coffee could be hotter! Very clean interior with a comfortable room including a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is conveniently located, allows pets ($30/night NON-REFUNDABLE cleaning deposit which they said is on the website, but I did not see it), pretty clean, updated, staff was nice, free breakfast, overall a nice hotel. However, if you want to sit by the pool and hope to get some sun, don't hold your breath!! One corner of the pool area and about 4 feet along the back fence gets sun for about 1.5-2 hours. Also, pool area is not locked and anyone can get in at either back gate, which also allows entry to hotel without needing a key. I doubt we would have stayed if we knew that ahead of time. Also, card access entry to exterior doors and gym don't work from around 11pm - 7am. I had to get a key made for the gym at 5:30am and it only worked that day.
