great location very wornPosted Nov 18, 2015
Directly on the harbor, but it is worn and in need of renovation. Toilet & tub/shower area smaller than our SeaRay head area, difficult to close door And toilet not secured to floor(rocked). Close to some of Destins very good restaurants.

Pros: Great location to Baytowne Wharf to the east and Destin HarborWalk to the west. Nice and quiet at night. Very nice to have free breakfast.
Cons: Stairs to replace 3 patio blocks to step down on to private beach. Sausage sliders for breakfast looked full of chemicals. Waffles were great.
Location: Location is fantastic. Close to Destin Harborwalk and Baytowne Wharf. Both places have great restaurants, activities for kids and safe nightlife.
Saturday for lunch we enjoyed $1.50 beers and great wings at Red Door Saloon just 2 blocks west of Destin Harbor Inn. We had a nice private dinner on the Inn's private beach with fresh shrimp from Destin ICE and Seafood Market. We relaxed on our comfortable king size bed and went out later 9:30PM to Baytowne Wharf on Sandestin Lane for duel piano bar Rum Runners- beautiful area to walk around. Destin Harbor Inn is such a great location and good price. It was very close to Destin Harbor Beachwalk which was fun in October to see the fish brought in for weighing- 230lb hammerhead shark and nice bandstand to watch the action.

Hotel location is great and we had a water view. The staff at the counter were very nice and polite. The only real issue we had which I told them twice during our stay. The sliding door in our room was extremely hard to open if you wanted out on the small attached porch. I we could live with that part but the door was extremely loose and there were heavy winds during our stay. The wind blew around the door and caused it to rattle all night and in some cases made even the front door to rattle. Talked to front desk staff next morning and they said they were aware of the problem and that people had complained for the last several months and they had reported it to management and that was all they could do. Fixed the rattle the rest of the nights we were there by taking a couple of the coupon books from the rack and stuck them in the door frame cracks to make tight where it could not shake all night. Overall hotel was great for our stay. We paid extra for the water view and it was a long night the first night due to the loud rattle but other than that it was great and overlooking the pool.and boats.

A very nice hotel, right on the water.Posted Oct 28, 2015
Pros: It's right on the water, location is great.
Cons: Bathroom could use remodeling.
Location: Location is excellent. We had dinner two doors over, at Boshamps.
A clean hotel, older but lovely. The bathroom is on the smaller side and could use some remodeling. We had a room on the bay side, stunning views.

A couple of miles from the beachPosted Sep 14, 2015
It had some nice ammenities. There was a grill by the pool, it needed to be replaced. Half the burners were rusted out. A nice little beach by the bay. They had wine at night for guests and the breakfast was decent. Mainly cereal, bagels, and some microwavable things. Rooms were average, nothing special. Right on the bay and only a few miles from the beach. I would go back for the price and get a room overlooking the bay instead of the traffic. They are animal friendly but I didn't bring mine.

Excellent!!!Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: The staff was extremely courteous and professional. They were very attentive to the customers and this displays excellent customer service.
Cons: It would be nice if other protein foods and fresh fruit would be provided. For medical reasons these additions would be very helpful.
Location: The location is centralized and convenient access.
The staff were very helpful. Lisa & Nathalie were extremely nice and courteous. I definitely will stay at this hotel again. The complementary breakfast was very nice and it saved time to do other fun activities. I would suggest more protein foods and maybe more fresh fruits would be great.
