Access to beach was excellent, view was fantastic from our 1 bedroom. Minor issues with the condo, living room furniture was not the most comfortable. The condo overall was nice and clean but could use some general updates. The resort was nice as to access to the pool, hot tub and everything as to amenities.

We love Pelican Beach Resort!!
We had a wonderful time at Pelican Beach Resort. The resort is gorgeous and our suite was absolutely beautiful and luxuriously updated!! The views of the beach from the patio are simply amazing and relaxing. That was our second time going and we will definitely be back again!!

Friendly staff and very helpfully very nice place will go back it was central located in Destin. The beach area was nice and not far of a walk to get from room to the beach.

This property is nice especially the view it was awesome,but what I didn't like the toilet overflow and it took awhile for someone to come and housekeeper never came to clean so we had to clean up the mess.The restroom in the master room the tub could use an update and as well as the kitchen appliances

Pictures don't tell all...
Overall our trip was good. But the room we were given you could tell was not taken care of. The walls and the ceiling were patched together with different colors. The showers didn't really work as they should but we were able to get by. I viewed a friends room three doors away from ours which they booked with a different company and theirs was so much nicer. When we decided to go to the beach we had purchased a tent to keep our 19 month old in during naps and so he wouldn't get burnt only to get there and them tell us we couldn't use it and we couldn't set up lower than the chairs that had been purchased. But the places on both sides of us didn't have these rules. So because we couldn't afford to rent one of their chairs we couldn't enjoy being right by the water or our nice new beach tent.

Pelican Beach Resort is a great place to stay in Destin. It is in a great location, rooms are spacious & clean, elevators are quick. We enjoyed our stay and the direct beach front.

The property was very run down, chips on walls in the room, the elevators had a bad musty/moldy smell, the shower curtain liner was old and needed changing in the master. Front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. The pool was small so it was often overcrowded. They put out so many chairs and umbrellas that you couldn’t even see the ocean without leaving.

Went there for my girls cheerleaders nationals.The apartment was clean and well supplied (dishes, pots pans, utensils ect..) Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the view of the ocean A great spot. Girls won 1st place in the Mini category.

we were headed over to check in when I got a text to go right to the hotel as the office was closing at 5. But I STILL had to go back to the office the next day to check in- only to be given directions to the hotel ( I WAS ALREADY THERE). The office didn't open til 9...so a late start on that day as we had to hang around and check in. Just for a list of things/liabilities. "Clunky process"

The view was beautiful and loved access to the beach, but that is about the only pros. As for the cons, there are a ton of them. It was filthy including dirt blowing from the a/c because of no a/c filter; food, snacks, and clothes were behind the bunk beds; there was ants in both bathrooms; almost all of the towels were stained; the furniture was very old and all of it stained. The balcony door was very difficult to open so much so that our 8 year old could not open it by herself. The bed was very uncomfortable and bedroom located next to the outdoor hallway so it was the warmest room and very noisy. We had 2 box fans that we used the first night because of warmth and then someone came in the room the next day and left a wrench on the counter and took the box fans out without giving us any notice. We felt very violated with this. No hangers, no hairdryer, the ironing board needed replaced, no shelfing in the bathroom so use the ironing board to hold toiletries and the dresser was so dirty we didn't unpack our suitcases. No lightbulb in one of the lamps, refrigerator made lots of noise and everything either needed cleaning or a fresh paint job. Paint, which is flammable, was stored in the closet with the a/c and hot water heater. After calling the front desk and finding out they don't own or manage it and there was nothing they could do we called the phone number for our booking and found out they didn't own it either and there was no maintenance workers available an

Stayed in a room with a view, one king bed, twin bunk beds and pull out couch bed. OMG it was amazing. A lot more spacious then I imagined. View was absolutely breath taking. I didn’t want to leave! I will definitely be back and would stay here again! The only issue I had was since I booked through Travelocity I had to drive about 10 minutes passed the resort to check in some where which didn’t make sense but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall we loved it and had an amazing time

Our favorite vacation and room was nice just.....
We absolutely enjoyed our trip to Destin, it was by far our family’s favorite vacation. The room was nice, a little dated. Room looked clean but the floors were dirty. You could tell they had not mopped in a while, as our feet got black after taking a shower and walking around barefoot in the condo.

I’m looking for the Golden Girls
The resort itself is ok the rooms by Resortquest are beyond out of date and there has been NO maintenance done in years and years. We had a fan that could not be run because the blades were dropping screws in the globe as it ran. The bathroom was grosss. All towel bars had been jerked out of the wall at some point and holes never filled. Different tile in every room. We paid WAY TO MUCH to stay in a glorified motel. The only good thing was it was ocean front. Oh by the way the master bedroom is on the front of the condo so you get to hear ever person walk by talking and rolling luggage and coolers. The people from Resort Quest said they were sending someone to replace the fan we just checked out and the same fan is still there.

Bathroom hadn't been swept...hair on floor behind door......sofa bed had urine stained egg crate left on top...gatorade top and Coumadin pill underneath....not sure if bed bugs in couch or twin mattress, but, when sleeping on either had bites and lots of itching on lower legs.....which cleared up once back in clean house. Not a general sense of cleanliness. Also had storage closet with who knows what was being stored or living back there. I would fire the cleaning company. Not doing their job......but....guess all you're paying for is the view, which was great. Still disappointing that room is not kept up better. Ahhh almost forgot about smoke alarm that kept beeping...when I called to report it, was told how to disconnect it myself.....which left no working smoke detector in the room. Soooo????? We have rented 3 different condos from Pelican Bay. The first one was ok. Not extremely clean but ok. The next one was amazing. Super clean and super updated. The most recent one was bad!! Dirty comforters, we kept puncturing our feet on the staples from the old nasty carpet that was peeling up. The coffee maker didn't work and it was just dirty.

The sofa bed was worn and very uncomfortable to sleep in, I had to call in the front desk to bring some sort of pad and all we received was a very thin pad. The area behind the sofa bed was dirty and dusty, The living room carpet was dirty and full of sand, some utensils were not washed or clean. Bathroom wall/ceiling was moldy as well, the A/C unit was very loud especially at night making a banging noise.

We've stayed here before and enjoyed both times. Our condo had couch w/sofa bed that springs were coming through. Kids had to sleep on couch & loveseat instead. Other than that, everything was great. Love the location, convenient to everything. We will stay here again next year!

Nice hotel close to the beach
The room was nice and the view was great. We had a great time. The only complaint that I have is that you have to rent their chairs if you want a good location on the beach but it is insanely expensive. We bought beach chairs from a souvenir store and had to set them up farther from the beach because their chairs are set up already. Other than that the place was nice. The traffic is insane as well but will be like that anywhere you stay.

Loved being right on the beach. Room was nice and well kept. My only complaint was a musty smell in the bathroom. We took the rug out and the smell went away so perhaps they just need a new rug. There was a slight dip on the ceiling right outside the bathroom door as well as if there was some water damage. Other than that, very clean and beautiful views.

Nice location for a beach vacation.
The room I rented 1103 was a little disappointing. We pulled the couch bed out and could not sleep on it for the discomfort. Had to put back up and sleep on it as a couch. The King size bed was comfortable but had to share because the twin bunks were dusty. The refrigerator had black mold on door seals at the freezer door. The Bottom of the refrigerator door the seal was drooping past the door. They sent someone to glue the seal back and rust feel from the bottom of the door. I would suggest cleaning the mold and replacing the seal. The refrigerator worked good after second day. I would not rent this unit again. I would however stay at this resort again. Loved it.

Beautiful oceanfront condo!
Our stay at the PBR was amazing! The room was spacious and clean upon arrival and the facilities were awesome. They have a 1 ft kiddie pool which is great for small children. Only downsides are that the front desk is not responsible for the condo so they don't supply anything to you. They don't tell you upfront that they do not replenish your supplies (i.e. Towels, trash bags, sheets). You are responsible for washing your own towels and replenishing items such as paper towels and trash bags if you run out but overall I would definitely stay again! We had an awesome experience!
