A wonderful hotel by the Bay the staff are very personable. The breakfast was excellent. The room were neat and clean overlooking the bay.

The general manager, Handan, was available to answer all questions I had. The property is undergoing renovations but it did not interfere with the trip. Out trip got extended unexpectantly and we were able to stay in the same room. The location was great.

MY BEDRROM WAS SMELLING LIKE MARIJUANA. I INFORMED THE STAFF AND I ASKED FOR A DIFFERENT ROOM TWO TIMES AND I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING BACK ALL NIGHT. I STAYED THERE FOR TWO NIGHT AND I DID NOT RECEIVE CLEAN TOWELS.

The biggest downer was that the floor was a tad dirty, like it hadn't been wet-mopped in too long. And the window looked dirty, apparently with dirt in between the multiple panes. Otherwise, excellent!

The heat didn't work, cockroach on the counter, so we got another room that had a cigarette butt on the floor and broken plastic. Breakfast was not ready an hour after it started and we had to ask before anything was put out. Bathrrom was pretty clean but we had to ask for washclothes...there were none.

This was my third time staying at the hotel. The past two years were a great experience. This year was awful. I was with a large group there for a high school wrestling tournament. We were not able to stay in the main building due to updates being done and the one that they had us in the conditions were awful. One of our party found a roach in her room as soon as she opened the door after check in. My TV did not work. The room temperature was awful. Don’t even get me started on the lack of water pressure and hot water for showers. The only good thing about the stay was the gentleman working at the front desk. I wish I could remember his name but he was very welcoming.

The blinds were broken and the shower head was broke in our first room so the staff moved me to a second room and after I already packed our stuff up and got everything out again, my son finds dead bugs and a dirty Q tip behind the bed. After 5 minutes of him walking barefoot on the floor his feet were black.. there was no toilet paper in the second room either. I couldn't get comfortable because it was dirty and poorly maintained. Needs a lot of work!! Will not be back

Bathroom door was so rusted that we couldn’t even move it. We were lucky enough to have a working hairdryer and iron but others in our party had to borrow ours because theirs didn’t work. Floors were disgusting. I could only let my kids walk on them with shoes. Beds seemed clean and were comfortable. Bathroom was also decent.

The hotel is pretty old and run down. It felt dirty. Our room smelled like boys dorm hall. We were just there one night, had what we needed and the bed was comfortable.

Not a good stay at all
Stayed 3 nights, 4 days. Room was clean and updated, however I had no hot water the entire stay. Told them day one and by day 2 they moved me to another room. That room barely got to lukewarm temperatures but was better then ice cold. Told them several times and they never came to look at it. No coffee in the mornings at the breakfast area. So disappointed, as the updates to the hotel were good and it smelled good but while most of the front staff was nice, no one ever came and cleaned the room, not once. They said they would credit something due to not hot water and they never have. Going to keep calling until they do. Would recommend to others the beds were awesome and super comfy but nothing else about the hotel I would recommend.

Avoid this nasty place at all costs
Filthy rooms, pool is nasty and overlooked by a bunch of run down apartments The doors do not secure properly so anyone can (and they do) walk right in if they are staying there or not The staff (with the exception of the one who initially checked us in) were totally useless Our last day, we looked for the night shift employee for almost an hour so we could check out We had the pleasure of meeting one of the dope heads from the neighborhood as she stopped at the pool and bathed while we were swimming The private beach they brag of us about the size of a big porch, not a beach you would want to use I’ve stayed in hotels in Destin for more than 30 years and this is the worst I’ve experienced Should be shut down

The front desk staff at check in was great. I asked for a later check out they said I could leave at noon but while I was in the shower housekeeping came in without knocking at 11am. Also the dead bolt on the door did not work. The location is convenient to surrounding areas.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life they don’t clean your room we had small and large cockroaches everywhere with other bugs as well they don’t swap out clean towels for your very few towels that are dirty the staff was not very nice and the back door was broken and anyone can walk in off the streets and they do and we complained and they said “we already know” the hotel was miserable

So apparently my teenage daughter started her period while sleeping in the bed at the Fort Walden beach location in Florida room 228 and we were charged $150 for damages to the room? I'm sorry how is that fair? I was terrified at staying at this place after reading the reviews and then was very pleasantly surprised and was very satisfied with our trip until this morning. I need to speak with a district manager please.

Im sorry this happened with your teenaged daughter. The concern was you never mentioned this to the front desk. You didnt even come to the front desk to checkout. We noticed you had checked out after we cleared all our departures.

The rooms weren’t cleaned daily, there wasn’t enough towels, there was a hole in the wall and also a hole where the window unit was so the room was always hot. The tv control only changed channels but didn’t turn on and off the tv or work the volume, and when I rated my check in through hotels.com the manager told me I was affecting their ratings and made the rest of my stay very uncomfortable.

The room smells very bad' the bathroom smells of sewage pipes' bad cleaning service' they give you only a piece of paper and they don't change the sheets' because I leave them naked since I always like to make work a little more practical and I I make sure they change them, plus the floor is super dirty my children walked barefoot and their feet looked like they were playing with mud 'and I stayed 3 nights and I couldn't sleep they make so much noise that it seems that the hotel is going to fall' and they also let people in to strangers who are not guests and drunks and that speaks of the little security of the hotel' I did not feel safe and I do not want to return

Nothing was good , the staff was rude an made you pay a 150 deposit up front an then refused to return it back because they claim they was a stain on the linen ? The room was cleaner when we left than it was when we arrived. Definitely do not recommend this place an we will not never be back .
