Horrible InternetPosted Aug 27, 2015
The hotel staff was terrific, and housekeeping did a wonderful job. However, I am a business traveler and require Internet. They have free wireless Internet, but it was so slow I could not even check my email. I will stay somewhere else the next time I visit for Fort Wayne.

Broken, Loud and DisappointedPosted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: It was in a great location and the staff was very friendly.
Location: Shopping, Great Restaurants and a Theater
When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that the elevator was broken and that we'd have to walk up to the second floor to get to our room, which was not good since my husband has mobility issues. We sat down at the bar and they gave us a complimentary drink while we waited to see if they could get the elevator working. Unfortunately they did not after about an hour and so the staff got us a room on the first floor. We finally got into a room on the first floor and it was o.k. The sink in the wet bar appeared dirty, our air conditioner was loud when it turned on, so we were woken up quite often during the night. We also had a walk-in shower in our bathroom that was not graded well, when I got out of the shower half of the bathroom was covered in water, so I warned my husband not to shower because he could slip and fall easily. There was not a working fan in the bathroom to vent the steam and I could not find the hair dryer. I let someone at the front desk know about the hair dryer and they said that it is stored in a drawer in the closet.....ummm, ok. Be warned, check the drawers in the closet if you can't find the hair dryer. The breakfast buffet was not appetizing, dry breakfast sandwiches, I took one bite and threw it out, quarter sized pancakes, fruit that looked like it had seen better days and instead of yogurt cups, they had what appeared to be strawberry yogurt in a bowl sitting on ice.

Not bad. not the bestPosted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Proximity to freeway and restaurants was fine. We loved the seating area outside the bedroom. Great for entertaining. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Check your beds. Some of the mattresses need to be replaced and some are broken. Seating for breakfast should be condensed if possible.
Location: Location was great. Easy on/off access to the highway. Quiet.
We were in a room with two double beds. One was apparently broken because one side dropped 3-4 inches lower than the other side when we laid on it. The other didn't have enough support in the center of the bed but was MUCH better than the first for sleeping. We had kids above us attending a basketball camp who bounced the ball on the floor during the day. After contacting the staff, that stopped. However, there were people running up and down the halls and drunks knocking on doors during the 3-day stay. Very disruptive. There were tailgate parties out the back which probably helped add to the behavior issues above. I don't mind people partying, but I do mind it when they are allowed to ramble about the hotel disturbing other visitors. Bathrooms are VERY small -- the door cleared the commode by about 1/4 inch. Not a possibility for a larger person. Breakfasts were fine. Lots of food, but seating arrangements to eat were awkward. The seating was spread all the way across the lobby, requiring people to have to walk with full plates past outgoing people with their luggage... just weird. I don't think we'd stay there again, though the price and proximity to other things was excellent.

Good value, just a couple of small issuesPosted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location, price and size of the rooms (very generous)
Cons: Small maintenance issues: the toilet handle needs to be fixed, the mini fridge rattled, a plug didn't work.
Location: Right off I-69 and located less than a mile from a large mall and other shopping.
My daughter and I recently stayed at this Hyatt Place for 3 nights. The hotel is easy to access from the highway and is close to shopping and lots of places to eat too. Our room was very clean and overall nice, however there were a couple of minor issues that needed to be fixed. While these weren't severe enough to cause us to notify management during our stay, I gave the staff a list of them on checkout. They were kind enough to waive the fee for some food items as compensation, which was appreciated. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
