Great location in the historic stockyards

Posted Nov 19, 2016
This hotel is in a great location. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious. However, our bathroom door could not close due to shifting and elevation of the carpet and floor. I suspect this was from water running out of the shower and into the main room. The breakfast was better than at most hotels . My main complaint is that I booked my room through expedia and my confirmation showed that I had booked a double queen room. when I arrived the staff insisted that I had booked a single king room and they had no double queens available. I know that is not the case and suspect that they overbooked and knocked down any expedia reservations (I have run into this before.) The staff felt bad about it, but I think it is the management's policy to do this and they couldn't make it right and suggested I complain to expedia about it. I had my confirmation from expedia, so I knew what I had booked.

Fantastic location

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: I think these guys have got it right!!!
Location: Shopping, sightseeing.
We booked this hotel initially because of its location and I certainly have no reservations in recommending it to anyone visiting the Stockyards. The rooms surpassed my expectations, spacious, comfortable, clean and very well maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly and the free breakfast, although not the best in the world, was more than adequate. I look forward to returning to the Hyatt Fort Worth and will certainly extend our stay next time.

Location is the best

Posted Sep 13, 2016
If you want to stay in the heart of the stockyards, this location is the best. I thought it was pricey but I'm sure they are charging what they can due to location. We were not pleased with the breakfast area. They need to expand. Not enough sitting and at all times there was line. Not enough staff to keep things stocked, such as coffee, napkins, forks etc.

Not as happy as expected!

The staff was more interested in talking among themselves, than helping the guests.

Great location, but the stay was just okay

Posted Aug 29, 2016 on Hotels
This Hyatt Place hotel is all about location. It is right in the heart of the historic Stockyards. The staff was nice, but the room was just okay, and the breakfast was just okay. If location alone is a big value to you then by all means stay here. I think I will stay a couple of miles away in Sundance Square the next time I visit Fort Worth. In my experience, you will get better bang for your buck there.
