DisappointedPosted Mar 2, 2015 on Hotels
We have stayed here before and it was great, but this time, the hotel was under major construction. Which should have been listed with Hotels.com, so we could have known. The smell of fresh carpet and paint were overwhelming. I am sure it will all look nice when it is done, but during, not so very nice. I would recommend calling before booking to see if they are finished. Maybe due to the construction, the room had a mouse and ants. We mentioned it at the front desk, but the girl didn't really seem to care. She said, "Well, you are on the first floor."....like that is expected. Then, we sprayed the ants with hairspray...which worked really well and when we told the front desk, she asked, "Do you want someone to come clean them up?" We answered yes, although we thought it might have been a rhetorical question, but no one came to clean them up. We had two rooms and neither room was serviced even though we didn't have a do not disturb sign up. Not sure what happened. Breakfast was very good and I don't think this was a typical experience. We were just very disappointed.

Renovation while open for bookings is not good.Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness,
Cons: Better food. Close for renovation. Train staff to be friendlier (I called to ask about breakfast time and said good morning -- and clerk was silent )
Location: Only close to one decent shop/restaurant venue, but close to our family.
1-construction starting at 7:45 woke us up. Entry torn up, front door broken. Paint fumes in room were awful. 2--breakfast mediocre: watery oatmeal, eggs and potatoes barely edible, coffee weak, juice ok. 3--Darrel was great and so was the other black desk clerk. Jake was not very pleasant. 4--very disappointing that breakfast on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day was over at 9 like a regular weekday. Should have been like a weekend or holiday.

Nice hotel and great deal, minus one rude employeePosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Location was good. Price was good. Rooms were really nice, especially for families
Cons: The person who we dealt with could be more courteous, given that it is a customer service industry. I
Location: Easy to find on the freeway. Close to stores and Airport.
The hotel itself was great. Only bad experience was one employee, possibly the manager, who get aggressive when we asked about two rooms that we requested to be next to each other. We had friends that were checking in the day after and when booking, as well as checking in, I requested two rooms next to each other. I was informed that it would have to be based on availability on checkin by the expedia agent. When checking in, I asked (a different person) if this was possible and was told that it was and assigned a room that would be adjacent. When our friends arrived to checkin the next day, we found out the rooms were not even on the same floor and when we mentioned about the conversation with the other employee, he got aggressive and told me that he already mentioned this to me over the phone. He went off about how there were regulars there and the hotel was sold out and so on. I never spoke to this guy before or even saw him before this time. It could have spoiled our weekend but we let it go and had a great time regardless at the airshow that weekend.

Great room for families!Posted Jul 25, 2014 on Hotels
We stayed in a suite. We did not expect such a great room! The suite had a mini kitchen, 2 bedrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living room. Each room had a TV. We only stayed one night and were sad at that. We will be looking for this type of suite at Residence Inns in the future. Everyone had their own room! Only negative was that the eggs, biscuits, and gravy at breakfast was not very good, but you can't have it all!

It is an excellent motel, North of Fort Worth. The hassles of downtown and the traffic are left behind as you arrive. You aren't far from shopping or dining, so you won't get bored. Close to the Racetrack too.
