The Alverton is a lovely conversion of an old convent into a first-class hotel. The staff throughout are friendly, competent, and eager to make one's stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. The restaurant is very good for breakfast, bar snacks, and sit-down meals. The bartenders were also very ...
Great Location in Looe overlooking the harbour. Comfortable bed room a little small but very clean. Great service from the Staff
This hotel is perfectly situated to have a peaceful getaway, but with the advantage of a ferry connection to Padstow. I stayed here while attending Rick Stein's cookery school. Room was comfortable, bright and cheerful. It is an easy walk into town, but remote enough to enjoy the coast and dramatic ...
A good stay using the hotels facilities. Food not quite Up to the descriptions and therefore expensive.
The food was superb from dinner to breakfast I can't fault them will visit again in summer .
Excellent view from room and centrally located. Doc Martin tour was very interesting with local history included. A must for any history buff.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids loved the swimming pool. The food at the brasserie restaurant was also reasonably priced. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would come again.
Very good accommodation. Grounds need some attention. Perfect location to explore Cornwall. I will be back.
Beauitul room. Spotless. Quiet. View of Bodmin Moor from French Windows aiute stunning. Can't wait to go again.
Facilities at the hotel were wonderful and perfect for our 5-year-old daughter. We found it to be a very family friendly hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was great.
Arrived at 8.00pm told no dinner available as restaurant full and try the pub down the road. Water pressure really poor and water went hot and cold. Not a 4 star restaurant.
Lovely hotel, our 3rd floor room was nice but very hot, there was ac but it was too noisy to have on
Lovely old home converted into a hotel. Very easy to find, ample parking behind the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and luxurious. Showers a little tight, due to the historic building, but clean and modern! They do a lovely fully cooked breakfast in the mornings, everything from omelette to ...
Clean and comfortable rooms, good spread of breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, kitchen facility and a washing machine and dryer, lovely sea views, two minutes walk from town centre and supermarkets
Convenient friendly comfortable excellent breakfast, dinner menu bit limited , plenty of parking and access to good walking
What a great place to stay, family run hotel, all staff very friendly. Very close to the beach, we had amazing sea views from our room. Heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room open 8am to 9pm. Food very good. Will definitely stay here again.
Nice seaside hotel. Great position next to the beach, lots of activities around. Standard rooms are very small but clean and modern. Staff are friendly but the ones attending at the restaurant not very well trained. All in, definitely a good option for seaside holiday.
Overall experience good but a little disappointed with the difficult to use shower and the "King sized bed" that had a nasty zip down the middle. Breakfast was good and staff were nice.
Good value for money apartments. Very spacious, having all the basic things you need. Located close to the beach, perfect for surfers or families wanting to enjoy some days at the beach, playing in the sand.
Shower was awful, as the shower head is fixed pointing to the wall and it’s a push one so you only get 10 second bursts. One of the bunk beds as very little gap between the top at the bottom it’s ridiculous. It’s like climbing into a letterbox at night. They tried to make us pay cash upon arrival ...
Expectations for the hotel were high but was a bit disappointed not to be accomodated a bit more with check in time (we arrived at 1pm, after roughly 12 hours of travelling. Check-in 2pm ) but they also had a wedding party in which took priority. Nice hotel, clean and comfortable room but lacking ...
