Room was generally clean but two bugs in bedding and one in bath (all dead). No ice available on property. Phone was not working. Noise from large trucks passing.
Actually OK. I have seen much worse, but not great.
Room was neat and very clean. They have maintained it as 5 star hotel. Management is so friendly. Easy check-in and checkout process.

The front desk employees were incredibly rude and unhelpful, no one there knew how to properly run a hotel except for the one male manager. It took them 30 minutes to get us checked in late at night after we gave them our name and confirmation code for the prepaid stay and they tried to tell us that it wasn’t in the system. Eventually we got it sorted but the next day they walked in on me changing without knocking.

I was given a key to my room and upon entering it there was a man inside the room. It was very uncomfortable.

Stayed here after MSU game. Staff were quite pleasant, room was clean, bed was surprisingly comfortable (seemed rather hard when I first got on it) and the place was quiet. It is not a showplace but it fit my need and I would stay again.

The Continental Breakfast was lacking and not well stocked.
The coffee that was made for breakfast was not good at all.
We decided to go over to McDonalds to get breakfast.
The property itself wasn’t that bad for what it was, an off the highway rest stop. As for the staff, they were a bit rude, I’d say don’t ask for any sort of early check in, also $25 cash only deposit when renting, be mindful.
Room was extremely smoke smelling, watery carpet around A/C, bugs inside bedding. Ended up not staying the night. Management offered neither a different room nor money back. Would not recommend.

Quick easy access to freeway, pet friendly, clean & updated floors.
Sink drain leaked, faucet leaked, TV needed to be reset, wall plugs worn out, electrical plugs wouldn't stay plugged in.
Our reservation was changed without notice. Did not have a comparable room in exchange. Front desk clerk was rude and degrading to me in front of others in the lobby. Acted as if it was my problem and not theirs. He kept getting louder and ruder as i simply wanted an explanation. Kept threatening to cancel the reservation instead of trying to accommodate our group. Said it aaa Travelocitys responsibility not the hotels. No breakfast available as mentioned in amenities either.
Its was a disgusting nightmare was charged twice with no refund
No breakfast no pool Ill probably never use my 50$ voucher that was issued to my next stay @ different location
Hotel & this online booking as far as im concerned you both suck & are useless

Just not kid friendly. Go elsewhere if you have children.
"You get what you pay for." A phrase you often hear in life. Our recent family trip to Fowlervilee MI, we weren't expecting to pay for a hotel but our plans to stay with family sadly changed. We found the Magnuson and went for it since it was close to family. Upon arriving, we were told their was no longer a pool or congenital breakfast which was advertised on the website at the time of booking. A little disappointed but not the end of the world for us. We walked into our room once we were able to finally get the door open. Apparently after swiping your key card, you have to pull the handle at the right time to open it. The room is incredibly outdated. The beds were like bricks. They did not clean our room each day. Only took out the trash and gave us new towels. The shower did not drain properly. The sink was never cleaned. We went to Walmart right next door and bought our own Clorox wipes to clean and disinfect the room ourselves. We were throughly unhappy. Truthfully, this hotel is not cut out foe families but is the perfect place for truckers or anyone who doesn't care to sleep in a clean place.

I'd stay again. It is affordable.
Friendly service. Seems like nice people. But there was no breakfast as advertised. Also, my 12-year-old son for a cup of cigerette ashes in one of the dresser drawers, along with 3 unopened condoms. I had to explain to him what they were, ugh. Glad for the fridge and microwave. I like they keep the price affordable. The beds are hard but I only stayed one night so the price was worth it. I couldn't sleep two nights though, my back would be rough. Clean pillows and blankets though.
1) Check in staff failed to mention that standard amenities described on their website and third party websites are NOT being offered. There is no free, in lobby breakfast of any sort. The indoor pool has been closed for some time.
2) Notice to pet owners the pet friendly hotel charges $20/pet @ night at check in.
3) the room was clean but extremely dated and not being kept up. We took pictures as proof- shower handle falling off, holes drilled in walls between rooms and “fixed” by stuffing wads of toilet paper in the holes ( we have pictures). The electric fire alarm on the ceiling was removed and the wires hanging out if the ceiling. ( again we have pics) the coffee maker was 20 yrs old and leaked water when started.
4) room is marked non smoking but rm had stench of previous smokers and cigarette burn holes in bedspread ?!?!!
5) sheets did not fit the bed and slid off when sitting on the edge.
This sure was a motel! Was pretty much the last hotel room available in the area on short notice for MSU’s homecoming game. The surrounding area feels a little sketchy late at night and there is no late-night food option within 25 minutes. Hotel was pretty middle-of-the-road. The beds were sleepable, the plumbing and fixtures and heat all worked, and we were able to check in late at night without issue. Overall nothing to write home about but also no real complaints
It was not a good time here. My family and i get here, its a motel, not a hotel like it says. The beds are hard. The pillows are not big enough for your head. Whatever. We can deal with it. We leave to go to dinner, get back and theres a suspicious vehicle sitting infort of our room. No one else had a room on the back side of the building except us. We get inside, my husband goes out to the car and sees this truck take off with 3 police cars hauling through the parking lot. Obviously not a great spot. We have our child with us. We want to get out.
Room was comfortable and clean though decor was a bit dated. Basic amenities, refrigerator, Microwave and modest sized TV. Room did smell a bit stuffy. Would stay here again if I was in area.
