In the heart of of the Old city center

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Pros: Location and room
Cons: Nothing I can think of
Location: Near all major city attractions in the old city center
Beautiful little hotel on a cobble street inside the city center. Close to major tourist sights. Several excellent restaurants and shopping choices nearby. Friendly staff and a clean comfortable room. Upon checkout I was able to take a 15-20 minute walk to the train station

Nice hotel very close to center of old city

Posted Dec 21, 2016
Pros: Convenience; cleanliness; comfort; good customer service
Agneshof is tucked into the old city near all the things you want to do - walls, towers, and churches - and offers comfort and convenience for anything you want to do within a short walking distance. We came to Nuremberg for Christkindlesmarkt and walked along quite cobblestone streets with lots of Antique shops to the Hauptmarkt where everything is happening. Once the market closed, we walked back and had a variety of restaurants to choose from, and the goulash soup and brats were great! Just be sure to have cash for restaurants as many (most?) don't take credit/debit cards.

Getting there from train station requires going uphill on pebbled side walk, which can be quite challenging with heavy suitcases. However, the hotel itself is nice with reasonably priced breakfast buffet (7 euro). Guests can also use their jacquzzi and sauna facilities.

Thank you so much for staying with us and for your kind feedback. You are absolutely right, the cobble stone pavement - which is so typical for a medieval city like ours - is not quite perfect for suitcases. But you must admit, it looks so beautiful, doesn`t it?

Nice area but uncomfortable

Posted Nov 29, 2016 on Hotels
Nice area, out of the way but good for walking around. Parking inconvenient. Older hotel, older decor, uncomfortable beds and pillows -- we left early.

We feel deeply sorry for not having been able to fulfill your expecations, although we do not really know what you missed. The pics on the website are offering a good impression about our style and show the historical character of our building. The "small print" indicates that for parking a height restrcition applies. Our beds and mattresses are completely new, we got them this September and tried to choose a degree of hardness which is suitable for almost everyone. So we do not really know what to improve to make you feel more comfy...

It is okay

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: In the old town and there are restaurants , cafes nearby.
Location: The castle, museums, bakeries, cafes, restaurants.
A basic hotel, in the old town. You can either take a taxi from Nurnberg Airport costs about 19 euros or U2 which is peanuts. The room we stayed was 112 on the first floor. There was no windows , just a glass door opening to a sort roof space and facing a wall. The room was I would call it small and the toilet/shower even was smaller. In order to close the door you have to go into the toilet first then close it. It was that small, tiny. For the money we paid for 2 days it was just okay. If you want a simple ,clean room/bed to put your head down it is ok.
