Great hotel, Great location!
The hotel was much larger than we expected for the small town of Herrieden, but it was a very nice stay. The breakfast was very nice and we appreciated the scrambled eggs! The room was comfortable, but could use air conditioning in the warmer months. We look forward to coming back!

Decent hotel, out in a small town.
Our room next to morning breakfast kitchen & therefore noisy from 7:00 am onwards. Good breakfast.

Excellent experience
As first time overseas travelers, we were weary on staying in a German hotel but this was an amazing first experience. Clean, quiet, comfortable... The staff is friendly and proficient in English, which was a plus and the hotel's complimentary breakfast is wonderful. Definitely a great stay and we will be staying on our next germany adventure too !

We choose this location to be close to Nurnburg and Rotthenburg. We were not disappointed. The staff was very helpful in our self tour travels to Nurnburg, needing to access a train station a few miles from the Hotel we had used the hotels van to and from. Morning breakfast was good and plentiful. Dinners at the hotel were very good. The following day we drove to Rotthenburg which was a easy drive.

Average size room, but very comfortable and clean. Better than average food, at reasonable prices, in the hotel. A good overnight stopover, halfway between Rothenburg and Nuremburg

Great location but that's about it
Staff acted like we were imposing on them. This is the only hotel that we booked and paid through Expedia that had additional "taxes" and did not explain the charges other than "taxes". Rooms just OK. WiFi not good.

Loved this place
I spent three nights at this inn while visiting relatives in the area and enjoyed every minute I was there! Please note that I stayed in the "new" building as I've learned there are rooms in an older area of the hotel. The inn is on the outskirts of Herrieden so it's away from the central town which is nice from a sound standpoint. My room faced a open field and small village in the distance, so there was no noise at all if I chose to keep the windows open. There is a walking path that you can take to walk into town so you don't have to walk down one of the busy streets if you don't want to. On two mornings, I went out for a nice three to four mile walk into town and even to a neighboring village (again via a path). The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. (Although as with the four other places I stayed in Europe, I had to adjust to having no top sheet...just a duvet.) The bathroom is small, but efficient with everything you need. All was in good working order. I thought the breakfast buffet was wonderful. There was the typical large selection of meats, cheese, breads, and vegetables, as wells as fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, and eggs to your making. I'm usually not a big breakfast eater, but I coudn't pass it up. The breakfast room is delightful, including a sunroom. I had one dinner in the restaurant which I thought was excellent. I would go back there in a heartbeat!

The place is a magical retreat.
The Surroundings and the buidling is amazing. The breakfast and presenation could not be faulted. The staff are very friendly. Would certainly recommend to everyone.

Das Hotel ist gut, aber gibt auch große Unterschiede zwischen Zimmer Kategorisieren, von sehr gut bis na ja… ein bisschen Lotto Spiel.

Offensichtlich haben wir, vielleicht weil wir nur eine Nacht über Expedia gebucht haben, ein sehr schlechtes Zimmer bekommen. Möbel, Bad und Ausstattung sind abgenutzt, auf dem Flur war teilweise schon der Fußbodenbelag entfernt. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht.

Verkehrsgünstig gelegen und ruhig
Das Hotel ist in gutem Zustand. Das Zimmer war geräumig, Dusche und Toilette getrennt, alles sehr zweckmäßig, sauber und komfortabel. EXTRA: Es gäbe eine Duschhaube!!! Abends haben wir im hauseigenen Restaurant hervorragend und preiswert gegessen. das Hotelpersonal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist von der Autobahn sehr gut zu erreichen. Parkplatz am Haus.

Comfort Doppelzimmer September 2022: Leider war unser Zimmer schon bei Ankunft nicht gut gereinigt. Wir fanden ein blutverschmiertes Teststäbchen eines Diabetesgeräts, der weiße Balkonvorhang wies verkrustete Flecken auf und am 2. Tag lag im frisch gemachten Bett eine Motte neben dem Kopfkissen. 2 von 3 Nachttisch/bürolampen funktionierten nicht. Das Frühstücksbüffet war reichlich, hier allerdings war zb der Obstsalat vergoren. Im ersten Moment machte das Hotel einen guten Eindruck

Wir hatten der Beschreibung nicht entnehmen können, dass das Hotel am Berg liegt, was für Radler eine ordentliche Anstrengung bedeutet.

Alles sehr gut und freundlich. Aber wenn man Hecken vor der Anlage schneidet sollte man auch Grünschnitt von den Terrassen entfernen. Sieht nicht schön aus. Im Zimmer mal die Gardinen waschen wenn man sieht das Reste von Fliegen etc darin sind.

Schlechtes W-Lan, Fernseher funktionierte nicht richtig. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, Frühstück ok, Kein Fahrstuhl (wurde noch nicht geliefert). Ich glaube ich habe auch ein anderes Zimmer bekommen als gebucht. Insgesamt ein eigentlich echt schönes Hotel, aber meine Erfahrung war dieses mal leider nicht so gut.

Alles soweit gut. Es war nur bis 4.00 morgens auf dem Flur laut, was aber nicht dem Hotel sondern der Reisegruppe anzulasten ist.
