Professional and friendly staff. The hotel is older and well maintained - it even boasts its own garden! The attached restaurant uses the vegetables and herbs from this garden in their entrees - I wish I would have been there on a night it was open...I wasn't (Sunday night stay).
The town is small and somewhat charming.
Nice hotel with a great restaurant. Room was spacious was clean and large for a German hotel room. One oddity was that the room had a bathroom that was down a small stairway within the room. Also to note was there was not any air conditioning. I went in May so it was not too bad. Might be a concern in the middle of summer. Parking is tight but manageable. Well within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and parks. Staff was very friendly and most spoke very passable English. Hotel has WiFi with a good signal.
Convenient location, walking distance of downtown. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. A bit old fashioned but large room. Parking spaces available but at extra cost of EUR 6 per day.

Convenient to shops and restaurants in town, the hotel is situated nicely. Our room was clean, but lacked modern amenities found in most other hotels such as coffee / tea service and a key card to open the door. The door key and chain is incredibly long and heavy to carry around. The breakfast was good and the hotel staff friendly.

Old, but charming.
The hotel is fine and the breakfast was very good, but the building is old and has that old feel that they really cannot do much about. We didn't eat dinner there, but could see they had a nice restaurant that was popular with locals. Parking was low-cost at only 6 Euro per night and it was easy to drive there.

Old charm
It's an old hotel in and old city. You go there for the charm not the modern consciences. Internet was good. Breakfast was nice.
The hotel was first class. Restaurant for dinner and for breakfast could leave nothing to be desired. The building is "olde World" and the interiors furnished in a very fitting way.Rates and reasonable as are the prices for restaurant meals. Parking available at a very cheal price on the hotels own premises.
Great breakfast. Room and hotel very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Only slight issue is traffic from the road can be heard inside the room even with the windows closed. The good thing is that they give you earplugs, but you can still hear the traffic.
Rooms clean, very helpful staff, very good breakfast! We enjoyed our stay!

Good place to stay in Aschaffenberg
Have stayed here several times before and will do so again. its not in a perfect position and the parking is limited but that goes for all hotels in this area. The bar is good and the restaurant fine. Recommended.

Location was.great. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was more than enough...
I really enjoyed the Hotel. On arrival I was upgraded for no extra cost. The Hotel was just perfect and the Breakfast Excellent. On Leaving I was given some soaps and a bottle of Wine as a Gift. Would highly recommend...
Very nice old hotel in great location. Staff very nice. Restaurant very good. Only problem was no A/C, however, they do provide fans in rooms. I would stay there again, but not when it's really hot.
It was a nice hotel, with required amenities. The room was comfortable, not much view but there is not much to see there. Seems there were quite a few business people there. The restaurant was nice. Room very clean, beds hard but very nice.
Difficult to review as arrived late in evening due to delays and left very early next morning.Unfair to comment really as did not have time to form an opinion.
The hotel was in walking distance of the old town with the Johannisburg Castle and other nice sights, as well as shops. The hotel's restaurant served us very well, good food and excellent service. We could have wanted a little more comfortable seating accomodation in our double room to fully agree on the 4th star, but we enjoyed our stay very much.
This was a very professionally run hotel. I used to live in this city when I was in the Army so I saw this hotel all the time. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was gorgeous. Great staff, I will miss them . Very hard working and very friendly. They really go the extra distance. They were always willing to lend a hand.
The Hotel itself was nice and in a decent location for walking into the Center of Town (although there are hotels located more centrally) and to the River as well. The room itself was basic. There was no air conditioning in the room, althought a small plastic fan was placed in my closet which I ended up using. The best part of the stay was that the included breakfast was quite substantial and well done. Next time I'm in Aschaffenburg, I would probably try somewhere else before going here again.
We chose this hotel knowing nothing about the town but got a very pleasant surprise.
It is an excellent first stop if you fly into Frankfurt as it is only an hour or so away. The beautiful river area within walking minutes of the Wilder Mann was full of history, including a castle, parks and gardens.
The restaurant at the hotel was excellent in atmosphere and food.
The hotel offered a few surprise facilities which we did not have time to explore but the wellness centre sounded great.
It has parking also.
Hotel was very charming. You could tell this hotel was a historical building but was well maintained. Breakfast was great. Staff was knowledgable, polite, but not very friendly. Bed was lumpy and heater didn't work but repairman fixed it after 1.5 of freezing our tails off. The beer vending machine was in the hallway was interesting.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Not impressed.
Located in a decaying neighborhood...hotel is in need of updating...parking in their secured lot was inadequate meaning several guests had to park in an unsecured lot down the street. Based on our room and expeerience, it is hard to imagine how the Wilder Mann maintains a 4-star rating.

Gezellig hotel, prima kamer met goede bedden
Parkeerplaats op eigen terrein tegen redelijke betaling
