No room given. Sent to another (bad) hotel.

Posted Sep 30, 2016 on Hotels
I was supposed to stay one night. I called the hotel several time in the afternoon to announce my late check-in, but I got no answer or found the line busy. I showed up just before 10pm and I was told that no rooms were available due to a water leakage -- but I suspect they just sold my room. I was given a room in another hotel (Am Zoo), which I had to reach at my own expense, and with all the related inconvenience (I had an appointment in town). I did not argue because I was tired and in a hurry. The other hotel was extremely basic and with a depressing, grim look. The room was not very clean; I found a long hair in the sink left by the previous customer (and left there by the cleaners). The sink was in the middle of the bedroom, while the toilet and the shower were in a tiny bathroom. I was charged 4.20 EUR for a bottle of water and the wi-fi was not included. Apart from the significant inconvenience, for the price I paid (around 70 GBP) I got very little. I survived, but I feel the hotel was dishonest.

No Air Conditioning on Summer - Extremely HOT!

Posted Sep 19, 2016
Pros: The coffee machine at the reception area is great, and it´s free!
Cons: Air conditioning should be available for summer days (despite I understand that Frankfurt is mostly cold). The price of the room was expensive.
Location: Nothing to do nearby the hotel. 40 minutes walking to get downtown. Railway station very close (two block away). Subway at about 10 blocks away.
We checked in on a summer day, with 30 degrees celsius. Entering the room was like opening a hot oven. No air conditioning available. We asked to change room, to another with air conditioning, but there was no other rooms available with air conditioning. Besides that, the room was smaller than we have seen in the pictures, and the kitchen was really a kitchenette inside a placard, not like the picture we have seen. We also asked to change to a bigger room, but they said that all rooms were the same. Location is 40 minutes walking from downtown. And it is almost nothing to do in the hotel area. Railway is close (two blocks away). Subway is 10 blocks away. Overall, the hotel don´t worth the price paid (about 300 dollars in average per night).

wouldn't stay again

Posted Sep 16, 2016
Transportation around the city was the only positive. Noise level was too high. The staff lied about having AC rooms even after we showed them their brochure. And then they said an AC room would cost extra. Air from the window would not circulate in the room and you had to ask multiple times for a fan which they said they didn't have until the next staff member showed up for his shift.

Good and Inexpensive Hotel

Posted Sep 11, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel is a 2-minute walk to the Tram stop. The only negative was no AC which was okay at night. I left the door to the balcony slightly open to let in the cool breeze. However, during the day, it was warm in the room. It would help if the hotel provide a fan.

A hotel in an industrial zone

Posted Sep 4, 2016 on Orbitz
The non-smoking room (do there still exist smoking ones) had a residual smell. No A/C. Close to train tracks. Windows with a view on a huge construction site.

Great value for money. Spacious room with cooking facilities. Quiet hotel, minutes walk from Ubahn station. Would definitely stay again :)

Great connectivity to the city, clean rooms and friendly service. But very noisy at night due to the nearby railway lines. Reconsider if you are looking for a good nights' sleep
