Although the area around the Frankfurt train station is a bit rough, this hotel was impeccably clean and remarkably quiet. I did not eat the breakfast there, but they were happy to give me free coffee. The bed was amazingly comfortable!

We chose Hamburger Hof Hotel because of its close proximity to the main train station. We enjoyed our two nights stay because of its very helpful and gracious staff. Our room was not very big, but it was sufficient and suited our needs very much. I recommend it.

A very pleasant and practical place to stay when traveling through Frankfurt. Much nicer than many hotels that are right next to the train station, with pleasant and helpful staff and nice breakfast.

Close to train!
I was only in Frankfurt over night before hopping on another train, but this hotel was perfect. So close to the train, like 4-5 minutes, and was super comfy. The staff was friendly. There was a really good pizza place right around the corner (Pizzeria 7 Bello). I would come back if ever in Frankfurt again.

My room was big and nice. This is not the cheapest hotel around the main train station but sure is a good location. It is about less than 5 mins walk once you are out of the main train station. Super convenience. Unlike other side of the train station, there are less homeless people walk around. It’s pretty easy to walk to the mall close by. If you accidentally rent a car like we did, the easier parking lot will be at the train station. It is not super cheap but it’s safe and convenience. If I remember correctly, it was about Euro15 or Euro17/ day.

This is a hotel that makes the most of the conditions it's in. The area immediately around Frankfurt Central Station is neither beautiful nor comfortable, so consider the hotel room here as an oasis. The room itself is spacious and relaxing and I got a good night's sleep here. Staff were friendly and offered me a coffee on the way out, a pleasant surprise. As for the bathroom, I was disappointed. The shower isn't properly sealed and water will drip out onto the bathroom floor if you're not careful. There was chewing gum stuck to the lid of the garbage can, making me wonder what else isn't clean. Overall, it's a beautiful, if basic hotel that's worth a stay if you just need a place to drop your bags for the night.

This was our first visit to Germany. I was a travel agent for 23years in Canada. I have travelled to many places and seen many hotels. Hamburger Hof is very convenient, across the street from Police station and main train station located centrally. I was surprised by how quiet it was.The hotel was very quaint, clean, and fairly updated for a 3star. A/C worked great! Buffet breakfast was very good. It gave lots of choices for all. The cost was $11.50euro per person. Very close to lots of restaurants and shops. Catching the train from the airport to our hotel was extremely easy. We purchased a travel card which covers intercity railways. It was very crowded so be prepared. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Our tour was to be late in the afternoon, and we were to check out early. They allowed us to keep our room a little longer as no one was checking in right away. We were gonna take the tram and then change to another one to get to where our tour started. They arranged a taxi, which was much easier, and quicker. I would highly recommend Hamburger Hof to anyone. Thank you for taking care of us Michael😊

I have used this hotel several times, it is ver convenient since it is directly next to the railway station, the rooms are ok and quiet. When I have to start the next morning from Frankfurt airport, this is my hotel of choice. Of course the district around the railway station has some unpleasant parts, but where the hotel is, it is ok. I have also stayed there with my family, including three children, and I will use this hotel again.

Our room for 3 was very spacious. The hotel was quiet both for indoor noise and keeping out the outdoor sounds from a very frenzied train station neighborhood. The location right across from the main train station was asconvenient as it gets. The breakfast buffet was complete with hot food selections and at a reasonable price.

My room was nice, spacious and comfortable. It was perfectly clean, well prepared for my arrival and equipped with everything I needed during my stay. Hotel is located few steps from the main train station and in a walking distance from the city center (approx. 15 minutes). Breakfast was simple and good. Staff was kind and helpful.

Property itself was fine. Rooms are small but comfortable and quiet. Manager on duty was a bit rude (or maybe just German). Other staff was friendly and courteous. Good value. Breakfast is provided but too late for me at 7:00.

Area was very near the Frankfurt main train station which was a plus. However, the hotel was also opposite a police station which could get quite noisy at times. The room which we booked had 3 single beds. The 3rd makeshift bed was very uncomfortable and had a flimsy wooden plank base to support the mattress. The room was also very small for three person with 3 luggages. Room floor was also very dusty.

Pros: clean, quiet, right across the Hamburg Central Station which made it so easy for our itinerary Cons: there was a bar close by and a lot of drunk people hanging around the area; the subway entrance/exit outside the station is sketchy: dirty, one part of the wall looked like it was pounded by heavy material and the tiles all broke and were on the floor, stinky, rats running around; police presence felt inside the central station on a Saturday night

Very cute hotel but, small. Although we booked for three, the room was designed for two with an added bed that was squeezed in by the window. Not suitable for families with small children, but perfect for people who are there to see the sights. Literally right across from a main train depot!
