Dear guest, I am sorry that you were not thoroughly pleased with your stay. It is worth noting that you were allocated a room that was freshly painted and spring cleaned the week before your arrival. You were the first guest to occupy this room after it was painted and cleaned. On the day of your arrival, the innkeeper put fresh, clean bedding and towels in the room, and inspected the whole room before check in time, to make sure that nothing was amiss. We pride ourselves greatly on our cleanliness and if you had any problems with your room, this could have been brought to our attention during your stay. The innkeepers live on site and are available at all hours, should the need arise. The office is open until 10pm but we have easily accessible pager buttons and an after hours phone number on the door. It is also worthy of note that you did not let us know about your dissatisfaction on the morning of departure. I am sure problems, such as you have described can be remedied in future by clear communication at the property.

We regret that we cannot put a microwave in every room. We do have a hospitality room on site with a microwave and coffee and tea making options. In addition to a keurig coffee maker, we have a hot water tap and a selection of teas. Please do come and stay again soon!

We are pleased that you took the time to give us a thoughtful review and and that you found much to like about our property. The Hospitality suite is open to all of our guests for the duration of their stay, unless we have a private booking. It is frequently used when we have guests and cleaned regularly. Guests often use the communal microwave which can sometimes create a lingering odor. The keurig area is frequently stocked with tea and coffee options and the innkeepers live on site, should it need replenishing. We are also happy to provide extra coffee for your room should you request it.

We are sorry that you found our mattresses to be too firm and our pillows unsuitable for your needs. We have different spare pillows available upon request.When you reserved your room, you did not specify a particular room or floor of the hotel, so your room was allocated at random. We understand your disappointment to discover that your room was downstairs and that stairs were not your preference. Unfortunately, in the weeks since you made your reservation, every other room on the main floor had been filled and all other guests on the main floor had checked in before your arrival. This left us no possibility of moving you to another room on the main floor.Free cancellation was offered only as a last option and absolutely no offence was intended with this offer.We regret that you did not have a better experience.

We are sorry that your personal experience was less than optimal. I am happy to address the issues you found with our property. We do inspect each room prior to arrival, for cleanliness and unwanted guests, such as spiders! However, we are located next to woodland and sometimes a spider will get in. Room service need not be requested verbally. All rooms are provided with a sign on the back of the door that you may hang on the front, indicating your desire for room service. We happily and promptly provided you with the fresh items you requested. We do understand your disappointment and based on your experience with us we will endeavor to communicate more clearly with future guests. The office does close in the evening but staff are available should you have a need, as we live on site. We have a buzzer and a door bell at the office door and a phone number to call after the office closes. Thank you for your helpful review.
