We have been communicating our pools outage via all booking platforms since works began in August of 2022. In addition, we have messaged all guests immediately upon booking via these platforms (Expedia included), and offered no charge cancellations, or date changes if guests do not wish to stay due to the pools being unavailable. As was the case with your reservation - records indicate that the automated message was sent to you immediately on booking at 10pm at night. All of our marketing and communications of the pools outage has been fair and transparent throughout. Kind regards

Hello TonyI am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at Oaks Hervey Bay Resort & Spa. Our reservation notes indicate that you were notified immediately on booking via Wotif on 4th August. We have also been allowing no fee cancellations should guest wish to not stay due to our pools renovations. Our apartments are sold on a no daily service basis, as they are fully self contained apartments with kitchen and laundry facilities. For any future stays daily servicing can be arranged for a small additional charge.
