We had a great stay at the Wild Horse Inn.

Posted Aug 1, 2017
Pros: Everything, the lodge, the great room with fireplace, library of all types of books, the food, the views, and the hospitality.
Cons: Having a fan would be nice on hot days.
The lodge, the beds, linen, pillows and views in the bedroom were amaaing. John is a excellent cook with a great breakfast each day...all healthy and very tasty. The Devils Thumb ranch offers great hiking near by and cross country skiing and now shoeing in the winter.

Bed and Breakfast close to Fraser, Co.

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Personality with Peacefulness
Cons: Have a fan in room, we are used to sleeping with fan running. So the 1st part of the evening a little warm but cooled down thru the night.
Location: Near to Winter Park, Fraser and Granby, Co. along with Lakes for the summer.
Very peaceful stay! Wonderful Breakfast and very courteous staff!!!

Rustic decor, modern comforts

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Wild Horse Inn. Nothing fancy, but it is clean, comfortable and conveniently located to Devil's Thumb Ranch, a beautiful cross-country ski area, as well as many other scenic wonders. Breakfast was more than satisfactory, and John is a gracious host. We would definitely stay here again if our footsteps lead us back to Colorado.

Stop and rest in the mountains.

Posted Jun 22, 2013
Pros: Beautifully situated, quiet, a lot of character.
Location: Very quiet - not much nearby except mountains and meadows, which is exactly what we were looking for.
This was a wonderful place to just stop and rest - read in chairs overlooking a flower-filled meadow and the snow-capped mountains. We had a wonderful meal in nearby Tabernash and were recharged and ready for more mountain driving the next day.
