Old, beat up looking hotel.

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Room was not ready at check in time. Person at front desk told us it wasn't ready and then left us hanging as she appeared to be struggling with the computer. I had to ask if she was checking us in while we waited because she left us just standing there. She suggested we sit down and wait. She was pleasant but didn't communicate well. Hotel is old and hasn't updated. Scratched furniture (large scratches) and beat up looking. Toilet ran almost continuously. Would stop for a minute and then start up again. Sheer curtain was missing at window though rod to open/close was there. Carpet, bedding and bath appeared clean but based on overall condition of hotel, it didn't feel like it was. Will look for someplace nicer on next overnight in Frederick.

Pros: Bedding and towels
Cons: Updated the furniture. Put a real desk and desk chair in the room.
Location: For my purposes, the location was the main plus. Otherwise Frederick not that big of a town.
Room was small. Furniture dated. Desk was terrible. TV reception poor. Bedding and towels were good. Booked a 4 night stay. After first night was locked out of access and had to go to desk. They changed internet code in middle of my stay and did not inform me. Breakfast room coffee was lukewarm, they ran out of juice, and scrambled eggs were terrible. For Frederick I would not rate this hotel a good deal at the cost. You can do better for the price elsewhere in town.

OK, But Some Concerns

Posted Aug 10, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Update the furniture, replace the electric outlets, fix the card keys so they don't have to be reprogrammed daily.
Location: Convenient to who I was visiting
Room seemed clean and mostly everything worked. All the electric outlets except one were worn out - a plug flopped around loosely in them. The card keys had to be reprogrammed every day, they'd just stop working. The furnishings were old, worn and tired. Had to hold down the handle for 4 or 5 seconds to get the toilet to flush. Very comfortable bed, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was OK, I enjoyed a waffle one morning. The best thing about the hotel was location, very close to where I was visiting. Probably a little overpriced.

The clerk at check in gave us a discount, which was nice. The hotel is old and layout is not great, but the room was clean and we slept well.

Not a fan

Posted Jun 6, 2016 on Hotels
The first day I came back to the room to find the bed i used stripped of linen. I figured the maid would be right back. After over an hour she walked into my room without knocking. Made the bed and left. Tge dust ruffles were water stained and there were holes in the hallways walls patched with wallpaper and duct tape. I will not be back
