Why am I getting emails about this resort? They cancelled due to Covid and Expedia keeps sending me emails about ‘my stay’ even though it was cancelled.

I truly apologize for the repeated emails concerning your stay. The original reservation may have been cancelled through the hotel and not through the website so therefore it would look like an active reservation. We tried to follow up with all cancellations but some may have been missed. It has been one crazy year for sure, we have yet to determine our reopening date. In the meantime please stay safe.

Nice location and grounds. Some renovations appeared to be done, generally clean. Like many mention double beds instead of queens are a bit odd and not the norm anymore. and they are a bit hard but not too bad. The pool was warm and hottub hot, it was generally ok but the dark lighting makes it feel dirty. Staff were great.

Great winter get away!
Staff were very friendly, the restaurant had good food. The hotel was comfortable and reasonably quiet with a bunch of kids in for a hockey tournament.

Ok hotel housekeeping lousy
We were there for 7 nights with other friends occupying 8 rooms. Our bathrooms had clean towels daily but never once cleaned. The floors, sink etc untouched. Our beds were made every other day just cups replenished. It’s a real shame because we travel with our ski team every year and it’s the closest hotel to the hill. We thought it was only our room until everyone was talking about how terrible housekeeping was. One person complained and a note was written but nothing was done about it. I hope they step up their game because in theory it’s a nice hotel with friendly staff especially the restaurant

We booked the Superior Room, thinking it will be much better.....it wasn't. The shower in the room was very small and there was a strange noise coming from the pipes in the wall every time you use the tap. We've stayed at a few places in the past 6 months and this was the worse when it comes to wifi. Everyday was a struggle. When we wanted to do our laundry, there was no dryer. It had been removed.

Dislikes - hot tub needed replacing 3yrs ago, recent int. repairs substandard, maintenance of hallways and pool area lacking(carpets, lite bulbs, etc.), painting spotty or over-due(exterior), outside patio stones are a safety hazard, etc. ???curtains??? in front of toilets in pool change rooms?

Very impressive establishment!
Our stay was amazing!! The accommodations were absolutely beautiful, the food in the restaurant was delicious, the staff was extremely helpful, and the rates were very affordable! I'd definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking to have a wonderful getaway and we will be returning!!

Property is located beautifully and the resort was once quite nicely done. The building and grounds have aged badly and are in need of sprucing up and repair. Stainnin the wall of our room. From the outside the hotel looks like a beautiful property.. until you walk through the doors- hallway carpets are lifting and very stained as well as the walls. When we arrived at our room it smelled quite musty (causing everyone to wake up feeling stuffed up.. not how you want to wake up the day you are getting married) our bed had 2 small lumpy pillows half the size of regular pillows. Our comforter had a large stain on it (went to front desk about this and they said they had no other blankets to give us) everything in the room felt dirty, we even had a large earwig imerge from behind the fridge and climb up the wall. The bathroom has clearly never been updated. Taps skink and counter all water stained. The only reason we didn’t leave half way through the night is because i pre paid. Also at breakfast ( not included I paid extra for) I cannot have dairy and they had no options for our coffee such as almond milk. I WILL not recommend this hotel to anyone and I feel very ripped off having to pay 100$ to stay in the room. When we arrived there was also an extra 50$ charge for the room that I was never made aware of. I was told it was in case we smoked in the room and if not I would get the 50$ back. Luckily I was able to pay this fee but when I asked while checking out when I would have the 50 returned to my account the front desk said “ well this is Sunday so once the banks open so maybe Monday maybe Tuesday or maybe even Wednesday”. Not very reassuring

Great Setting - Not So Great Experience
The setting is beautiful! Situated on the lake, with lovely lobby area. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and spacious. We were told our room was “just around the corner” but ended up being at the end of the hallway, by the exit door. Besides having a long walk, the door started slamming shut at 5:30am and continued on and off until 9:00am when housekeeping was pounding on our door. We got up and on our way to breakfast saw every other room in our hallway (all 13 of them) with the doors wide open and all the dirty linens piled on the beds and the floors. It was a mess! The restaurant was attractive, the food was okay and the prices were reasonable. However, at night only one waitress had the whole place, and at times she was busy showing pictures on her phone to guests. As we checked out, 11 of the rooms in our hallway were still propped open and a mess. It was a good value, but we sensed that guests’ experiences were not their concern.
