This was my first time staying here. The villa was quite spacious and clean. The owners were super nice. The resturant and bar provided great food and drinks. The only negative was you couldn't smoke on the beach. We are very responsible smokers and ensure that no butts are left on the beach but one staff member was quite rude in letting us know amoking was not permitted. Other than that, the stay was quite enjoyable.

The resort's owners and most of the staff were friendly, personable, and helpful. Fredriksted has some historic points of interest but the area is very poor. Christiansted seems to have more affuent neighborhoods, but dining and shopping is limited. The shopkeepers we encountered were very friendly and helpful in most instances. We didn't make it to the north shore, but read it is more developed. You cannot beat the sunsets by the beach at the resort in the evening. We parked our rental car in the designated lot across the street from resort and had no issues. One of the owners opened up a space for us to park when the lot was full. But most times, there are ample spaces. Many of the guests are repeat customers and were friendly and helpful with sightseeing suggestions. The restaurant and bar is good, but I recommend going for lunch or brunch when it's less busy. It was refreshing to stay at a resort that takes an active interest in its guests. Most big chain hotels treat guests like numbers. Recommend highly for LGBTQ travelers!

We cannot say enough about this lovely property right on the beach! Beautiful beach, sparkling water! Really nice restaurant right next to property. Staff was helpful, cheerful, went above and beyond to do a good job.

This hotel is right on the beach. The beach is really nice and we never had trouble finding a lounge chair. Employees are very friendly and helpful. You can walk to different restaurants but I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that at night. You need to rent a car!

You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay on the island. The nicest staff, gorgeous property, with two pools, direct beach access, and a restaurant on premises with staff that will take your food and drink order while you lounge on the beach.

Come stay at the Sandcastle on the Beach
This was our first stay, and we are already planning a return. The owners greeted us as if we were old friends. Our room was spotless and had all the comforts of home. The beach was remarkable clean, and furnished with beach chairs and umbrellas. We also swam in both pools, which were crystal clear and kept at a comfortable temperature. The food served at their cafe is way above average. We dined for brunch as well as dinner. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and always helpful.

This experience is not what I thought it would be. It started with my arrival. It took 10 minutes for the person behind the counter to acknowledge me. She was busy talking on the phone. Once I got settled in my room, I went down to the restaurant/bar ordered my dinner with two drinks. An inebriated woman knocked both of my drinks over. The bartender apologized and made me two more, yet charged me for four. Had I known he was going to charge me, I would have declined the second round. The next morning I went downstairs for the continental breakfast. I was hoping that that's what it actually was. Kindly note that their continental breakfast included cheese, an orange, bread and a boiled egg. I felt like I was at the food bank. It was incredibly disappointing all the way around. It also stated it was an adult hotel with no children allowed. Yet children were running everywhere. The only thing that I can say is that this establishment is not at all what it advertises to be.

Resort was right on the beach as advertised. The staff & other guests were very friendly. The resort was beautiful and all of the amenities such as snorkeling equipment or kayaks were free to the guests. Would definitely stay at the Sandcastle when I return.

SCOTB was amazing! We loved it from the moment we checked in. Our room ( King Patio ) was clean and inviting. Being right on the beach was a requirement and this resort did not disappoint. The beach side cafe was delicious as well. The service was excellent and our room was always tidied up for each day after excursions around the island. This place is a real gem! Thank you!

I cannot say enough about how fabulous Sandcastle on the Beach Resort is. My best friend and I have just returned from our third trip in less than a year. The beach is the most beautiful I have ever visited and just steps from the resort. The water is crystal clear and great for snorkeling. There is also a lovely pool. Cocktails and restaurant food top notch. If you are looking for a party scene and nightlife, this is NOT the place for you. It is super laid back, quiet and serene. We have already booked our next trip.

We went here last week for my husband's 40th birthday..... we stayed in a beach front vila. The villa was amazing! The staff was accommodating and awesome! This place is for a quiet, relaxing, vacation. There are some things to do but not much on this area. We wanted a hot breakfast so we bought groceries and made our own. They have pots and pans to use. We did rent a car for a couple days and drove to Christiansted. They had more shopping and restaurants... it wasn't a far drive. We thoroughly loved our stay! The water is clear and the resort is well kept. The owners and staff are all wonderful! Lunch is delicious and dinner as well. Not a ton of Caribbean foods, which we were excited about, but that can be found around the island if you look for it... highly recommend this gem in the Caribbean.... and we walked to Fredericksted several times and came home in the dark with no issues! The locals recommend a cab... the walk does go by a large project complex, and a "fish" (weed) market if you are into that kindof thing. But we had no problems and felt comfortable the entire time. Sand castle is amazing! (Get a villa!)

The owners of this property are some of the nicest people we ever met. Even their staff speaks of them like family. That says a lot when you’re employees love and respect you. We stayed there for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

This a lovely property with a good restaurant and a wonderful beach! Staff was helpful and friendly. The only surprise was the breakfast included. At the front desk they offered Kuerig coffee, a couple of local baked goods, some fruit and cheese, so it was a bit disappointing.

The property is very nice, definitely as described and pictured. Everything is well kept and VERY clean. The onsite restaurant is excellent, but not very many other “good” options away from there. Every meal we had, was superb! The quality is very high and was a pleasant surprise. We did find a Kmart to get ample supplies and a grocery store (PlazaEast) that had a lot of selection that allows you to cook in room or make sandwiches.

Special thanks to Ted for making our wedding happen on such short notice after being displaced from going to Maui. He didn't have to help at all but he found us an officiant and a photographer that were both great! The staff was all extremely nice and helpful. The beach was beautiful and the water was super clear Sandcastle on the beach gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from us and we can't wait to go back.

Great property with great staff. Felt welcomed immediately. I loved the property. What I’m used to is more dining options and maybe that’s just me. I would rent a car if I book this location again. It’s away from most things. The beach you can’t beat. Clean, clear sea water and fish at your feet. Literally. A great place for sure. If you’re interested in a variety of dining options or just want more, rent a car or have a way to get around. Great place nonetheless.

Front desk staff were all lovely (Barbara, Armas, Chris and Michelle). The restaurant staff was kind, affable and a pleasure to interact with especially Atalla (not sure about spelling). Loved that the property was directly on the beach and beach towels and chair covers were provided. Continental breakfast was good. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again.
