I recently stayed at Viva Fortuna Beach by Wyndham for 4 days with my partner, and it was a delightful experience. We had the opportunity to dine in two restaurants on-site, and the food was exceptional, especially the tuna steak, which was the best I’ve ever had. While the buffet offered average options with not many choices, the dishes were still tasty.
The entertainment options were plentiful, with nightly shows and live music at the bar, where the talented performer added to the ambiance. The white sand beach and warm, clear blue water were absolutely stunning, making it an ideal setting for relaxation. Despite being a smaller resort, everything we needed was conveniently close, creating a cozy atmosphere.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our rooms were cleaned daily. Although the rooms were standard and the resort itself is not new, it was clean and inviting.
However, I would advise future travelers to be cautious when booking packages, especially from New York. In our case, the package only included a flight to Nassau, and upon arrival, we discovered that the resort is located on a different island, requiring an additional 30-minute flight, which came at a significant cost. Therefore, I recommend ensuring that your flight is booked to Freeport Grand Bahama Island if you plan to stay at this resort.
Overall, our experience with the hotel was wonderful, but our experience with the Expedia package left much to be desired.
