Good location off interstate

Pros: Employees
Cons: New carpeting necessary, many other updates would help.
Location: Off interstate, many restaurants nearby, fast food and other.
People were very competent, hotel was okay for overnight, smelled of carpet cleaners, room was adequate overall but carpet was BADLY stained and full of chemicals. Needed to be replaced!

Great pillows, not great night staff

Pros: Great bed, pillows, and breakfast.
Cons: Hot water ran out in shower. Friendlier staff that can handle a situation that might need flexibility.
Location: There was a gas station right next door so that made filling up easy.
We specifically called Expedia to help us book a hotel that would allow a dog to stay with us. At this point we were driving cross country and figured out where we would be able to stop for the night. After this experience, I will avoid this town at all costs. The rep told us that they took dogs and there was NOT an extra charge for that. When we arrive at 9:30 pm, I made sure to say, "We're here for our hotel and we have a dog." Just to be extra safe. Here's the conservation that happened: Me: LAST NAME, here for our hotel room, booked through Expedia. Please note that this is the book for a room with our dog. Guy at Desk (GD): We don't have any rooms for a dog. Me: We called Expedia to be extra sure about this and have already paid for this room. You need to either find us a room or refund us our money. (This was all said in a calm and even voice.) GD: You need to calm down. Me: (still calm) Please, never tell someone, especially a woman to "calm down". You need to find us a room or refund our money. We have been traveling all day. We're tired and would like to go to bed. GD: That's not my fault how long you have traveled. And so on it went. So, yea, terrible check-in. He also gave us the wrong internet password and didn't tell us where breakfast was. It was a chilly experience with an angry stare to boot. The bed and pillows were great. Nice breakfast. Just go for early check-in if you book.

Not-So-Quality Inn

Dirty carpets (stains). Hair in the sink on 2 different days. No turn down service between when I checked in and checked out. Breakfast was inedible (water and gritty eggs. Bacon that probably wasn't really bacon.) The shower water was scalding hot even when set at a moderate level. Not a very helpful staff at the desk. Need I go on? Don't stay there.

Hotel was much farther away than reported but biggest thing was the pool. IT DOES NOT EXIST the number one thing the kids want on vacation. Manager would not let us switch to a hotel closer to our wants and needs

The hotel was just ok. Could use facelift in hallways and more cleaning. What bothered us most was that after paying thru hotels.com, the hotel after running our card for 'incidentals' upon checkin billed us as well. Their price was $20 cheaper! And it took us 3 weeks to get them to credit our account.

Not consistent from room to room

I ordered two rooms. One for myself one for my boyfriend. Mine was fine, clean, and comfortable for the price. The other room was so humid that the sheets were wet. The air conditioner was so loud it sounded like ground zero of a rocket launch. And upon check in we were informed that they were fully booked so there was no options to change his accommodations. We didn't mention anything to the front desk staff because they didn't seem to care about anything but dinner plans. Consistency would be much appreciated but that is not the case here. And the breakfast was lacking. But that is the least of my complaints
