I liked that it was in a better area and we could walk everywhere and that it was close to the river. The only thing I would suggest is putting a dark shade on the door window to block out the light. The blinds on the door lets in a lot of light.

Food and shopping was a close walk. Convenient valet parking. Historical Hotel that was well kept up and clean. Good service with maid service and front desk, valet. Really enjoyed my stay.

I’ve been to New Orleans about 20 times since the early 1990s; about 10 of those with my wife, the rest on business. This was a trip to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and we have a new favorite place to stay. Hotel Provincial is on the quiet side of the French Quarter, so streets are not as crowded. This is a beautiful gem of a hotel that’s walking distance from everything in the French Quarter and also close to Frenchmen Street. We stayed in a “premium room”, Room 114, first floor off the courtyard and steps from the pool and the lobby. Very nice room with very comfortable beds, and the housekeeping staff was excellent! French Toast restaurant is a great breakfast spot on premises and Ice House, the hotel bar is a nice room, seats at the bar, excellent drinkmaster behind the bar and even three local brews on tap. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent stay and front desk staff very helpful in getting you oriented when you first arrive. About 5 minutes to walk to just about anywhere in the French Quarter and a few cute places for breakfast and Muriels is just two blocks away for casual dining

Liked the pool; staff friendly as well as other guests. The property was very convenient for exploring the area. The Riverwalk was two blocks from the hotel.

I liked the convenient location in the French Quarter. The front desk staff and valet were very pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping staff could be friendlier and more communicative.

This is a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area is safe and this hotel is on the residential side of the French quarter so it is quiet. The parking is great - right at the hotel and very safe. Everything is within walking distance. This is my “go - to” place when I get a hotel in the French Quarter.

Location! Location! Location! It was on walking distance to everything in the French Quarter without the busyness and the noise from the clubs. The staff were super friendly and the convenience of having access to The French Toast (which was amazingly good!!!) from the hotel was a plus!

The property is charming, historic, and vintage vibing but it is okay to have furniture and doorway trim with bumps and bruises, it is not okay to have fabrics with stains and light switches falling out of the walls. It appears that housekeeping is cleaning and using fresh linens but they are not maintenance personnel or property managers that should be going into all of the rooms frequently for inspections. And if you have that type of person already, then they need to be coached on their job skills. Com'on doors and windows can be old but light switches, ceiling fans, and hair dryers NEED TO BE NEW! Keep the charm loose the Janky (real word look it up).

Just a quick note to say that we are excited that our ownership is investing in a renovation of all guest rooms this summer and we certainly hope you get to return to us and check it out! In the meantime, we are currently working to remove some of the chairs from our guest rooms with stains.

We stayed in building 5, which was behind a large parking lot! Did not look anything like the pictures on the website. No New Orleans charm what so ever!!!!!

This is an excellent French Quarter location. 4 blocks to Jackson Square. A few bars, coffee shops closer but far enough away that when our night was done, we could get back easily and not have the people who were having a later night, impact us. Great price point. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Great bar on property. We heard they are doing a complete remodel. The property is lovey and authentic, but is ready for fresh authentic.

A nice, quiet hotel. I felt very safe at night in the room and in the area around the hotel. It's within walking distance to almost everything. We never took our car out.

I can honestly say that I an a Louisiana native, and have spent time in New Orleans quite a bit. This Hotel, their staff, the accommodations... everything is the best I've experienced thus far. I don't say this lightly. The Hotel Provincial is the best there is in this city.

I loved the layout of the hotel and its proximity to everything. The rooms are a little dated, but I thought it was charming. The service is amazing! The front desk and cleaning crew is excellent! The room we stayed in only had one door, which also served as the window, and due to the historic age of the building, you could hear everyone chatting in the courtyard until quiet hours. However, once I put in earplugs and turned the bathroom fan on for white noise, I slept like a baby.

Loved our stay here, great location room was clean. No elevator so have to take your bags up the stairs, and also the wooden doors don't really seal at all so hear everything outside and the other way around. Cute hotel with an amazing courtyard and fountain! Location was as perfect as possible.
