Nice hotel close to beach and amenities

Posted Jan 4, 2018
Well located beach just over the road. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a short stroll. Fuengirola is a walk away but plenty of taxis for the less energetic. Train station is close by and is very clean for cheap days out to say Malaga.

Comfortable hotel close to beach and town

Posted Dec 28, 2017
Pros: The quietness of our room. Beach and shops nearby. Breakfast 7.30 to 10.30 and dinner 17.30 to 21.30 allows time to go out for the day in between.
Cons: The room has a locked fridge. You pay for a key. As it's permanently on and heating the room it seems rather mean not to allow free access to it.
Location: Close to sandy beach. Short stroll from supermarket. Perfect for walks any time of day. Many cafes and bars to choose from even in winter.
The Yaramar hotel has a family feel to it. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, and the 2017 Thomson reps did a great job. Meals are buffet style with a wide range of dishes on offer. If you are a gourmet then this is probably not for you but I would say the food is very good especially when you consider that service is 3 hours at breakfast and 4 hours in the evening. This is a very quiet hotel even in the huge guest lounge which has a lovely view of the sea. There are activities throughout the day for those who wish to join in. Every evening there is entertainment in the bar with a variety of acts on offer throughout the week. The beach is across the road from the hotel and the Paseo is perfect for a stroll to the marina or to the many cafes and small bars in the narrow streets nearby. Many of the guests come every year and the hotel staff welcome them back like family. We have only been here twice but we will certainly stay here again. Bear in mind that this is a Thomson Gold hotel and caters mostly for older guests. If you like peace and quiet with a little fun thrown in then I would recommend it.

Posted Dec 2, 2017
Pros: everything
Cons: about two years away from an update
Location: right on the beach with shops and restaurants and railway all in easy reach with 10 minute walk tobus station the entire coast and mijas available
This hotel is pretty central for Fuengirola right on the beach and nice and clean with great lounge and pool facilities ... stayed on the 9th floor with sea view which was lovely .. the breakfast selection has everything you can think off .... and the Italian Restauant Zena 2 which is part of the hotel at the front is superb

Ideal beach holiday hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Pros: Location, cleanliness and safety.
Cons: On arrival, we were put into a sister hotel for one night. I don't think this is acceptable when we had booked six months in advance.
Location: Try the new Sizzler Indian/Mexican fusion restaurant at the end of the strip, we kept going back it was so good!
The Yaramar is right on the beach front in Fuengirola. It has had a cosmetic upgrade recently with new furnishings, and despite being an older property ticked all the boxes for our week long stay. There's an excellent rooftop pool which was empty most mornings as it was cold, but as a daily swimmer that worked to my advantage. The sun deck surrounding the pool is often busy, but as this is an adults' only hotel it was usually a calm area, although I didn't stick around to see if there were any other activities on offer during the day, preferring to base myself on the beach. The beach offers good sunbed provision at 3 euros a day per bed, and an excellent beach taverna, Rivera, that has a good selection of food drinks and friendly service. From 11 onwards there are life guards on duty. It's possible to swim in the sea when calm and there's a great floating playground for the more adventurous. The food on offer in the restaurant is a huge buffet of good quality, but my friend and I prefer to eat out in the evenings so didn't take advantage on this occasion. The clientele is predominantly older (think Cocoon) and there is a lot of arranged entertainment at night which again, we didn't indulge. There are a lot of tacky looking restaurants and bars running along the same road as the hotel, and a few better properties too, but walk a few streets back from the front and you'll discover many tavernas offering good food at affordable prices.
