A Canarian Curate’s EggPosted Dec 14, 2016
Pros: The room view (5th floor) inc the beautiful sunrise; spa & pool; the calm & quiet; buffet breakfast; sculptures along beach; early evening cuba libre.
Cons: Thudding from a local club till after 2 am; sweat-inducing rubber under-sheets; invasion of tiny ants in bathroom & bed area.
Location: Excursions at a local office; car/quad/pushbike hire; walking/cycle path along beach edge. Old Town & Port of Morro Jable for an echo of the past.
My wife & I went to Hotel Faro Jandia, Fuerteventura, for 4 nights in mid-December. The hotel location, décor, facilities and service were, overall, excellent. The staff were pleasant & helpful and most multi-lingual – a boon for those with minimal Spanish! The (elderly German-dominated) ambience was calm, polite but reasonably affable: everyone seemed to move in slow motion, soaking up the sun and going about their touristy business. The hotel pool & spa were clean and well-maintained: a joy to use. Evening entertainment was enthusiastic & well-intentioned. The actual strip of shops & bars, etc., where the hotel is situated is slightly unreal – dominated by major international luxury brands, with Santa Clauses & reindeers looking incongruous in the sun & heat which reached 26-27° in the afternoon – though the shopkeepers & staff are helpful and not too pushy. The beach (5 mins’ walk from the hotel) is long, soft & sandy; lifeguard-surveyed in places, though watch out for the strong Atlantic current, German naturists and the sun-lounger fee. There’s not a lot of youth, energy (though see below) or proper local culture in evidence here, but if you want a soft, slow-burning, take-it-easy, could-really-be-anywhere kind of break, this could be the place for you.

nice hotel well situated with good staff.Resort seems to cater mainly for the Germans which is good because they seem to expect and demand high standards.Would reccommend all inclusive package as it works well. Resort has great beaches but it is a windy island

Great location, top quality hotelPosted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: Location, general standard of accommodation and food
Cons: The hotel was focused on german clientele with few English favourites on the menu. There were some English tv channels but these were mostly news.
Location: Costa car a was with a visit and Oasis Park zoo was also surprisingly good.
Spent a week in early March in the good Canarian sunshine. Had a great holiday, the room and hotel were both excellent. The food was also well prepared and inventive.

Fantastic stay!Posted May 3, 2014 on Hotels
We have been to this hotel a number of times over the last few years. And this was the best visit so far. The food was absolutely spot on, the place was immaculate and also the hotel has installed free wifi that you can access from anywhere in the hotel since we were last there and that made a difference as we like to stay in touch with the world from mobile devices etc. We are quite discerning and only go places that are high quality so the fact that we go back, and that it's getting better and better should say it all. For info we also looked at other reviews of the hotel online and it turns out it's the number 1 ranked hotel out of 22 in the resort. No surprise to me, I can't recommend this hotel enough. We were on a half board basis, and the breakfast and evening meals are plenty to get you through the day. If you are hungry at lunchtime they also have a snack bar or there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. The bar/drinks are great quality and we enjoyed quite a few cocktails. Not sure if it's the just good exchange rate at present but the drinks were really good value and reasonably priced. We booked the hotel on here, got budget flights from the UK, and the transfers from the airport are really good price and easy to book online. So we got an awesome quality holiday for a price we probably couldn't dream of from a package holiday company.

Nice hotel close to the beach.Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly, was everything we wanted. The shuffler was a personal highlight.
Cons: No cats policy. Better evening entertainment. More information regarding the spa attire on arrival.
Location: Central, close to the beach and bars/restaurants/supermarket. Head to Morro Jable old town.
The hotel and staff were very amenable, they went out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The evening entertainment is limited, it seems to cater for the German tourists. The food was of a good quality, lots of choice at breakfast, catering for alternative diets. Good location, right in the centre of Jandia with access to bars/restaurants/shopping/beach.

Great Hotel, Great Beaches, good timesPosted Apr 15, 2012
Pros: The pool, the quietness, the service, the breakfast.
Cons: Paying extra to use the room safe, some signs of cockroaches around the pool (dead and quickly removed...)
Location: Outstanding, really worth trekking the miles of beaches if you have the inclination. Oh, the local "Ice Dealer" is a must!
Champagne on arrival, great service, never had to queue for breakfast (perhaps due to a quieter time of year - early April). Variety and quality of food for breakfast was excellent. Spa is very good, outdoor pool is excellent, crystal clear. A bit on the cold side for some but excellent if you like to do some swimming. Had to pay for the safe, about 10 Euros for the week - these things are usually included nowadays. WiFi was extra too but most Hotels still seem to play that game. Great variety of things to do at the hotel. Very pleasing to walk the promenade outside the front, good and varied range of shops, prices were not bad. Plenty of restaurant choices outside and near the hotel - much the same on offer but quality quite varied - some excellent food to be had, about 70 Euros for a family of 5 including drinks at the better places. Lots of small supermarkets. Does not take long to walk to the beach - 5 mins, well worth it. Sunbeds not provided by the hotel so they are for hire. Not really needed if you take some beach towels (which are included), the sand is so soft, dry and warm :) Some great jogging to be had, can run for about 45 mins on the running track parallel to the sea or for hours along the beach, not much movement in tides so despite a few rocky places heading North, fill your boots! Great place to hire boards towards the North but its about 45 mins walk, worth it though, nice little area of trapped water on the sand for young children to play in too.

Exellent hotel, would definitely go back.Posted Jun 15, 2010
Wonderful hotel with excellent facilities. Large pool, plenty of sun beds. Buffet meals, excellent choices with meat/fish freshly cooked as required. Rooms large with balcony and very clean. Service very efficient, hairdryer did not work and was changed for a new one the same day. Entertainment provided, different show every night mostly quite good especially the Lennon and McCartney tribute pair. Thanksfully very few children at this hotel. So it you want a peaceful holiday pick this hotel. Few minutes walk to the blue flag beach, excellent for swimming and long walks when had enough sunbathing. Jandia, not a lively place but excellent if you want get away from it all holiday to relax and enjoy.

Gute Lage, schönes HotelPosted Mar 12, 2017
Pros: Die Lage
Cons: Siehe oben
Essenszeiten u. a. Vorschriften müssen sekundengenau eingehalten werden, bei Verstoß gibt's nichts mehr... Nachts ist häufig Lärm in der Hotelbar, teilweise bis in die Morgenstunden, Beschwerde hilft da nicht
