Geat stay

Location: Great location for a cycling holiday.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Only not full marks due to a hot water issue in the room, which unfortunately after a few days still wasn't sorted. Great food and pool side restaurant.

Idyllic break

Beautiful location right on the seafront with well laid out and well cared for gardens. Spacious rooms with the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful it really added to the experienced - from serving us champagne as we checked in to ringing us a taxi to speed our departure. Spa a fun and relaxing experience - towels, flops and robe provided. Blissfully relaxing - highly recommend

We enjoyed a lovely 5 night stay. The staff were all very accommodating and pleasant. The only few down falls were the bed in our room was quiet uncomfortable as the beds beds attached together were uneven. We also had some problems getting cash for the games room and some other facilities as it is a card only hotel. Overall it was a lovely stay but lacked a vibrant town or strip nearby.

Avoid if Possible

Pros: It was a base, closecto the airport for our island exploration.
Cons: Retrain the entire reception staff.
Location: Close to the airport, beach, and has Avis Car Hire in the reception.
Many problems and had to called maintenance five times in our week due to air con issues, cupboard doors jamming and no hot water in morning or evening. In the end we left doors open and had to turn ALL taps on for 15 minutes before the water turned warm. Food very limited but eatable. During our stay we couldn't help but notice many heated arguemenrs with guests checking out and reception staff. On one morning an English gentleman had been billed for a hotel meal and drinks to which he replied that he hadn't eaten or drunk anything in the hotel ever. On our last day, having paid as we went, we were told we had not paid for a bottle of wine. We disputed this fact, telling then to view the hotel CCTV to prove we had paid but we were told by receptionist that if we did not pay it would be taken out of her salary. We called for the manager. I had to go back to my room and bring our rubbish bin to reception and empty the contents, which included our ripped up paid bill receipt onto the counter to prove we had paid. Total humiliation and I got into my taxi for the airport wishing I had never stayed there. In 34 years of world travel I have NEVER been humiliated or had a member of hotel staff try to emotionally blackmail me. I booked the Sheraton as I knew and trusted the brand. NEVER AGAIN!

Good central possision for exploring the island.

Service didn't match that of other 5* hotels

The hotel facilities were great but I felt the service didn't match the star ratings. We asked several times for a steriliser for the room but one never transpired, the staff didn't do anything to help us extend our room on our last day, they were very dismissive. The restaurants were poor standard. The kids were told they couldn't use inflatables in the pool - slightly ironic as they were selling them in the gift shop and it was half term. If they had heated the larger pool, and not just the smaller pool there would have been plenty of space for the kids and adults who didn't want the inflatables in the pool. Finally, it is on the flight path and can be quite noisy, but the benefit is that it's only 10mins from the airport.

You need to check if the hotel staff get your orders right and confirm all the prices and offers twice, otherwise they bring you something else and charge you for it.

Perfect location and hotel

We wanted a few luxurious days in the sun and got it! Everything was so clean and the hotel staff could not do enough for us - they just made everything so easy. Our rooms were large, airy and very clean. We spent some time in the Spa for a relaxing massage which was wonderful. There was a great deal of choice on food with every taste catered for. We would certainly recommend this hotel and have already done so!
