Poor customer service

Posted Aug 27, 2017
Bad noise in the morning Very loud annoying hitting, breaking, screwing remodeling noises from the upstair. At the front desk they just said upstair is on renovation without apology. They did not care customer service. made me feel I was bothering them.

Cons: this hotel is currently under a major upgrade.
Location: Museums, Theme Parks, the Beach
Great location, to the Beach, Huntington Library, and other Southern California attractions. We ate at the Hotel, the fish tacos were fantastic !

Nice hotel but not up to Marriott standards

Posted Jun 9, 2017
I'll start with the Good points: Great location - near coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and of course CSUF. The hotel was under much needed renovation but was surprisingly quiet and not full of construction dust. The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms fine. A/C worked great as did the TV, etc.. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Bad points: Rooms were dated and dirty and smelled of a mixture of stale cigarette smoke (although non smoking) and chemical air freshener. No fridge in rooms which is absurd! In the California heat to not have a fridge for water at the very least is simply a means for the hotel to price gauge on food from the restaurant and room service which is horrendously overpriced. I have been to hundreds of hotels and from the very basic to the Shangrila all have had a mini fridge. Elevators were sooo slow and old.
