Bad stay

They raise the rate on the price that I had reserve the room for $93.00 to $130.00. I do not think I would used Expedia again.

Unusual stay

I felt the stay was overall fair. I was pleased to see laminate on the floor as opposed to carpet. However it wasn't really clean. We opted to forego maid service one day out of the week and after that had to ask each time for any service to be done. The maid lived in site and asked for a ride to the store for liquor one day. We did however get what we paid for.

Basic place to stay. Convenient to Talledega

An old style classic hotel good for a nights stay. Staff were great. Building has been there for awhile but is clean

No wash cloths no towels. Nasty people doing inappropriate things hanging around. The place smells horrible. took thirty minutes to check in. Go some were else

We apologize for the bad experience. FYI this property has just recently changed ownership and is being renovated as we speak. The rooms are going to have new luxury plank flooring, 48 inch flat screen TVs and upgraded bedding and seating. We hope you give us another try as the ownership has changed and the current management are upgrading the property.

Horrific

Wow the first room they put us in the door wouldn't open as in it had been kicked in The second room the carpets were so nasty my 8yr wouldn't walk on the carpets The toilet leaked the sink leaked There was dog feces and food on the floor under sink Oh and did mention I had to request bedding wo cig burn holes in a non smoking room? Most of the hotels is full of locals and it's right across from wait for it A strip club Do not go here! It's cheap but nasty doesn't een begin to describe it

hotel was dirty, the did not have an ice machine that worked. They did not make thye bed or clean the room daily.

We appreciate the comments. FYI, the management and ownership of this property has changed and we are currently renovating our property. We are ripping out the carpets and replacing all room floors with luxury (wood look) vinyl planks, 48 inch flat screens, new furniture and upgraded bedding. We welcome your comments and have taken them into consideration. Our ice machine is in working order and our rooms are going to have a clean and fresh look. In addition, with the new flooring we are adding our rooms are going to be a lot better health wise as carpets store a lot of dust whereas our floors will not, thus better for your health also. I reccomment against this hotel

When we pulled up to the hotel there were several people milling around the parking lot in a suspicious manner. This continued for several hours. It became obvious that this was a hotel popular w/ transients. After dark the parking lot was well lit but the location of the hotel made it condusive to suspicous behavior by some the clientele. On this trip I (male) was traveling with another male. Had I been traveling with a female I would not have stayed at this hotel for one night, regardless of whether I received a refund.

Not a Happy Camper

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The entire hotel is in need of renovations
We were given a room advertised as non smoking, the room smelled of smoke, bathroom was mildewed, the tub was peeling and furniture was in bad condition, when we went to the office to ask for another room the person at the desk was very rude. We did not stay there and went to another hotel, but were given credit for our payment.
