One of the butterflies in the rainforest. There are several releases on Sunday, and the naturalist and volunteers are very knowledgeable and helpful. This was the 2nd or 3D time I went here. The largest collection of Morph butterflies I have seen. My favorite! Saw them in the Amazon jungles. Lots of wildlife in the areas along the trail.. Alligators, cranes, wild horses, ducks and more. A great place to walk and see wildlife near Gainesville. Be sure to catch the live butterfly releases that are held several times a day. So many beautiful and friendly butterflies to meet. A wonderful experience. #Colorful I took this photo while waiting for my car's oil to be changed. It's just a small stream in west Gainesville, FL. La Chua Trail This is a relatively new wetlands area just south of Gainesville, Fl. It attracts a large variety of birds and of course there are
'gators to be seen. Gainesville, Florida at dusk, in the summertime. Where have all of the college students gone? #goldenhour LaChua Trail Prosciutto POKEY STIX @ GUMBY'S At the Gators home opener with 90,000 of my closest friends. A football game at Florida Field is an incredible experience. Energy not to be missed. This is probably one of the greatest stadiums in college football. South end zone at Florida Field. A sea of orange and blue. Gator game at Florida Field. That's a lot of orange. #SweetSpot
Raw vegan cheesecake and smoothie at Daily Green. Unique and yummy! This sign greets visitors to the wetlands. There are many animals (bird species and alligators) to be seen at this prime location for photographers in Gainesville. Make sure you bring some money for parking which will cost $5 for a car but a
visit is definitely worthwhile and can take some time considering the extent of the park. Just a normal Saturday in The Swamp, where only Gators get out alive.... Beautiful old oaks leaning into the Lake Alice. Nice place for meditating. The Florida Museum of Natural History has an amazing osteological and fossil collection
