This hotel is not worthy of a 2 1/2 star. I have stayed in numerous hotels in Gainesville lately and this was by far the most run down. No ice machine. In room phone didn't work so I could not call the front desk to ask them. Which is ok, we all have cell phone but just another annoyance. The noise from the outside was tremendously loud! The a/c only cooled to 74. The bed was lumpy. Perhaps the $250 I had to pay a night where I could barely sleep added to my frustration. We spent as little time as possible there. ONLY saving grace is we had our dog with us. Next time I will drive the four hours round trip rather than stay there!

Stay was fine.

Pros: The room was clean and ready when we got there. All of the amenties worked and were easy to find.
Cons: I requested a roll away bed when I made the reservation. I did not receive a call before getting there to tell me they do not have roll away beds. The "grab and go" continental breakfast was also extremely disappointing. They only had 2 muffins and 1 granola bar. There were no drinks available for the children.

Inexpensive but you get what you pay for

Pros: spacious rooms
Cons: Cleanness and maintenance of bathrooms
Location: good location. Close to Univ campus
Not all staff are friendly..most were trying but some seemed indifferent

Pros: Not much!
Cons: Nothing can be done as far as location, but the bed could be upgraded quite a bit.
Right next to I-75 provides easy on and off the highway, but it also means that it is VERY NOISY. This would not have been my choice of hotels, but there was something going on in Gainesville and I could not find another....fortunately, I pack ear-plugs when I travel, which came in very handy. The bed not so good, but not terrible.

One Night Enough

My daughter and I did a little shopping and just stayed the one night, nothing fancy. It was clean and a good price for what I wanted.

Not worth the money

The cost was high for the quality. No plates, cups glasses or flatware in kitchen. Bathroom sink took a very long time to drain. Beds hard. VERY noisy at night (a car club was there and blasting heavy bass speakers at midnight shaking our 3rd floor room--went on for awhile). There are cheaper places that are as nice or even nicer.

to much noise in parking lot ie;car bass ratteling windows and walls for over an hour.after midnight. Front desk said I should have said something at the time because they have employees living @ hotel they would have shut it down, how could they not hear it or feel it.

This was a quick visit due to relative in the hospital. Hotel was very close to hospital and very convenient.

Would not recommend

We were disappointed with our stay. WiFi connection was very poor. Kitchen area did not have any amenities and you had to go to the front desk to get your plates, glasses, etc. No coffee pot in the room, another item you had to go to the front desk to get and it was too much of a hassle to do for a one night stay. Bathroom was very small and the exhaust fan was very loud. Free breakfast consisted of granola bars, and pre-packaged muffins. Free coffee was provided but the coffee bar was messy with coffee grounds. For the price of $175, not worth it and I would not recommend staying there. Also, did not like the atmosphere of the room, very dark.

I appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your experience with us. I am sorry to hear that the WIFI connection was poor. I met with the staff, and we will make sure we inform all our guests at check in time that if they need to customize their kitchen we will be glad to bring to their room any dishes an cooking utensils that are listed on the tent card in our rooms. Their was a Special Event in town and all the hotels in the area including us had Special Event rates for that weekend. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a better stay the next time you're in the area.
