The reason for the less than excellent score: It all comes down to two issues. The mattress was terrible. Way to firm, and the pillows were too, too soft. Sadly these things caused a terrible nights sleep. Everything else was lovely.

Location was great. We had mold in our shower and that was just gross!!! Everything else was nice.

The property is good actually, i liked the easy check in and the staff were nice. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. One thing that i would add would be a spanish channel for obvious reasons. The hotel is close to stores, restaurants, coffee shops and a mall right in front. Overall a nice weekend stay with peace and quiet ambience. I would stay again.

So-so stay
Stay was average for price paid. Nothing special. Good for a night. My only two criticisms are that the matress felt of very low quality. You can feel the springs. Hampton has always had a good rep but using a Satvaa or Sterns and Foster for example would take care of that. The shower drain appeared clogged. It just sucked standing in that water while showering. You would think monthly maintenance would keep that in check. I have always had a good view of Hampton but not so much this time.

I hardly slept at all! There were no curtains it was a pull down shade and a bright light shining in the window!! The ac/heater did not work. It was freezing in the room and you couldn’t change it. I called the front desk. They said they would send someone up that never came.

The staff were over-the-top friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well-stocked and delicious; there were countless options! Our room was clean and comfortable. Excellent stay—we will definitely stay there again!

I spoke to the manager today about what happened. He was wonderful and so sorry about what happened . He said my CC had been denied from y’all. On my check in day I had called to tell them I would be late checking in. When I went to check in I was told I didn’t have a reservation, that they didn’t have any rooms, then that my reservation was for Sept. 4th- & 5th, not Oct. 4th-6th, then that my reservation was canceled. I ended up having to go next door to their sister hitel, the Marriott. I had to pay again. Therefore I need a refund on my Mastercard for any charges Expedia charged to me.
